Storytellers Cafe and the PCH Grill will be getting some exciting updates this summer that include new menu items and revamped character dining experiences. With all the new changes and transformations coming to the parks this season, it is not surprising that the hotel offerings would be getting a facelift to help usher in a new era of culinary fare.

Mickey Mouse will be leaving his surfboard behind at PCH Grill and is headed to Storytellers Cafe with his pals for Mickey’s Tales of Adventure. Replacing the critter breakfast currently hosted by Chip and Dale, guests will get the chance to be part of Mickey’s tales of adventure through his magical Adventurer’s Journal.

Meanwhile, Donald Duck will be taking the helm at Disney’s PCH Grill, in a new experience called Donald’s Seaside Breakfast. Donald will celebrate along with his best girl, Daisy Duck, in a dance filled experience that will also feature Stitch. Reservations have not yet been made available, but have been teased by the Disney Parks Blog to become available soon.

For those interested in more traditional dining experiences, Storytellers will receive new food additions for their lunch and dinner menus. Going along with current trends, Avocado Toast will be a featured item.

The starter features crushed avocado, lemon-olive oil, parsley, quail eggs, celery leaves and Espellete pepper served on grilled sourdough.

Pizza will also be made available, with two options availble that include ‘Nduja Sausage and Margherita Artisanal varieties. The first comes topped with ‘nduja sausage, mushrooms, artichokes, and potatoes. The Margherita Pizza comes topped with traditional mozzarella and basil. According to the Parks Blog, both come with Grana Padano, fire-roasted tomatoes, and aged provolone cheese.

For dinner, you will be able to find Braised Boneless Short Rib as well as Chicken Paillard. The ribs will be paired with mashed potatoes, creamy horseradish, and Brussels sprouts. The Chicken Paillard will come with roasted potatoes and heirloom carrots, topped in a lemon-caper sauce.

If you save some room, Vanilla Crème Brûlée with orange-vanilla biscotti and marinated raspberries will be available for dessert.

Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will feature a new Build-Your-Own Poke Bowl at both Surfside Lounge and Sand Bar locations. The bowls will be available with avocado, cucumbers, red, and green onions. Guests can choose their own base, protein, and sauce to finish it all off. Tuna, salmon, and tofu are available for protein along with your choice of romaine, brown, or white rice for base. Sauces include spicy mayo, poke sauce, or wasabi. Each bowl will be garnished with seaweed wakame, tobiko caviar, fried onions, pickled ginger, bonito flakes, and sesame seeds.

The Disneyland Hotel will not be left behind, as Trader Sam’s and Tangaroa Terrace will receive an update. Salads, gourmet hot dogs, and a chicken teriyaki bowl are among the newest additions. The Rongo Salad, named after one of the famous Tiki Gods from Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, will be filled with healthy fuel that includes fresh lettuce, cucumber, green papaya, marinated tofu, rice noodles, gooseberries, carrots, and a sesame-ginger vinaigrette.

It is safe to say there will be plenty to try, taste, and review leading into the most popular time of the year at the Disneyland Resort. Stay tuned for all the latest updates yet to come!
