Disney+ has announced that an all-new episode of “The Simpsons” is now streaming exclusively on the streaming service. The full-length episode, titled “Yellow Planet,” is the latest exclusive episode of “The Simpsons” to debut on Disney+ this season, joining previous installments “The Past and the Furious,” and “O C’mon All Ye Faithful.”
In “Yellow Planet,” The Simpsons are reimagined as animals in a National Geographic-style nature mockumentary. Homer and Marge navigate the ocean as whales from different series, Bart hatches as an iguana struggling to survive, and Lisa leads her flock as a finch. Along the way, familiar Springfield faces appear in unexpected roles, shaping their journeys in the wild.
In addition to 35 seasons of “The Simpsons,” Disney+ is also home to “The Simpsons Movie,” and more than 10 shorts featuring the Simpsons family. All these and more can be found in “The Simpsons” collection on the streaming service: www.disneyplus.com/franchise/the-simpsons

While there are no easy answers in how to “make it in Hollywood” or how to land that perfect job, perseverance is key and becoming a Studio Tour Guide at Universal Studios Hollywood may be a beacon in guiding some career paths.
The role of a Studio Tour Guide is to entertain and educate the millions of guests visiting Universal Studios Hollywood’s world-renowned, behind-the-scenes Studio Tour attraction, which recently marked a milestone 60 years of moviemaking magic. The Studio Tour is the genesis of Universal Studios Hollywood, the original theme park in the Universal Destinations & Experiences portfolio.
Studio Tour Guides roles are desirable positions that require many adaptable skills and are teeming with a host of opportunities. Gregarious and curious, with an interest in and knowledge of the entertainment industry, and dynamic storytellers with an appreciation for the Studio Tour, are a few of the attributes in the making of a Studio Tour Guide.
If becoming a Studio Tour Guide has been a bucket list dream, now is the time as Universal Studios Hollywood is hosting virtual open call auditions from April 23 through May 14, 2025. Applicants will need to submit a self-taped audition that includes a brief self-introduction, toplining relevant experience with emphasis on public speaking, performance or customer engagement and reading a passage from the official Studio Tour script.
In-person call-backs and next steps will follow once the casting team has reviewed all submissions.

Disney has released the first official sneak peek at “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires,” the latest installment of the music-fueled, smash-hit “ZOMBIES” franchise. The teaser reunites fan favorites Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly as beloved zombie-cheerleader power couple Zed and Addison while introducing Freya Skye and Malachi Barton as the latest supernatural arrivals: Nova, a fierce Daywalker, and Victor, a proud Vampire. The Disney Channel Original Movie premieres Thursday, July 10, at 7:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and will stream globally the next day, Friday, July 11, on Disney+. It will also be available on Disney Channel On Demand.
In the first three “ZOMBIES” movies, Zed and Addison brought human and monsterkind together in their hometown of Seabrook. Now, a new adventure dawns for the duo when their summer road trip takes an unexpected detour, landing them in the middle of yet another monster rivalry: Daywalkers vs. Vampires. Tensions flare when Zed and Addison find themselves acting as camp counselors between the two opposing supernatural factions. With the help of Eliza and Willa, they must convince sworn enemies Nova and Victor to try to unite their warring worlds before an even greater threat endangers them all.
In addition to Donnelly, Manheim, Barton and Skye, “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” stars a multitalented ensemble cast, including Kylee Russell as Eliza, Chandler Kinney as Willa, Julian Lerner as Ray, Swayam Bhatia as Vera, Mekonnen Knife as Vargas, Lisa Chappell as Vampire Eldress, and Jonno Roberts as Commander Bright.
Beloved for its high-energy song-and-dance elements, the next installment in the “ZOMBIES” franchise packs nine new original songs and two reprises of fan-favorite hits, “Someday” and “Ain’t No Doubt About It.” The movie features next-level dance sequences, choreographed by Dondraico Johnson, and an original score composed by Tom Howe.
Paul Hoen, who directed all three previous “ZOMBIES” films, returns to helm this installment. With a screenplay by David Light, Joseph Raso and Josh Cagan, “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” is executive produced by Hoen, Manheim, Donnelly, Light, Raso, Jane Fleming (“The Quest”) and Mark Ordesky (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy). Mahita P. Simpson serves as co-executive producer alongside co-producer Josh Cagan and producer Skot Bright. “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” is a production from Night Zone Productions Limited.
A powerhouse in youth entertainment, the “ZOMBIES” franchise has consistently dominated with each movie release. The cable telecasts for the first three films ranked No. 1 among Kids 6-11 and Tweens 9-14 in their premiere years. The movies have also garnered nearly a quarter billion streaming hours, becoming one of the most popular Disney Channel Original Movie franchises on Disney+.
The franchise’s music has amassed over 5.7 billion streams across YouTube Music, Disney Channel YouTube and Disney Music Vevo, while soundtracks for “ZOMBIES” and “ZOMBIES 3” hit No. 1 on the Billboard Top Kid Albums chart****. This summer, the “Descendants/ZOMBIES: Worlds Collide Tour” will visit over 43 arenas across North America, celebrating the music from “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” alongside fan-favorite hits from the wildly popular Disney Channel Original Movie franchises “Descendants” and “ZOMBIES.” “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires” brand extensions will include a cross-category product line of apparel, accessories, costumes, fashion dolls by Mattel and more.
“ZOMBIES,” “ZOMBIES 2” and “ZOMBIES 3” are currently available on Disney+.
It’s called Fantasy Springs Resort for good reason. It sits in the middle of the Palm Springs desert like a giant oasis, welcoming travelers with flowing fountains, swaying palm trees, a sparkling pool, a luxurious hotel, and an award-winning casino with a world-class entertainment center.
The family and I recently snuck away to Fantasy Springs (https://www.fantasyspringsresort.com/) for two nights and three days of fun and relaxation.
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is an oasis in the desert
Our getaway began when we checked into a comfortable room with giant windows, overlooking the large pool area and the beautiful desert landscape beyond. Boasting two queen beds, a large bathroom, mini-fridge, coffee maker, big screen TV, and a work station desk, the room had everything we needed for our home base.
Hotel rooms are comfortable and offer great views
When not in the room, admiring the desert views, we were having fun around the property. Our favorite spot was the pool deck, where we swam and lounged, and relaxed in the Jacuzzi.
The Fantasy Springs pool area is fun for the whole family
For food, we discovered numerous options at the resort. There was gourmet steaks and fresh seafood at Bistro, bold modern Asian cuisine at Joy, sumptuous pizza at Pizza Kitchen, endless plates the all-you-can-eat Fresh Grill Buffet, exciting California cuisine at POM, and more.
We decided upon POM, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Our meal began with a chilled shrimp cocktail, with large, fresh shrimp in cocktail sauce, grain mastard-horseradish aioli, and rainbow micro greens. For our main course we devoured a succulent filet mignon, with garlic whipped potatoes, tobacco onions and burgundy demi-glace; and pan asian salmon, with sesame-soy glaze, stir fried vegetables, crispy noodles and steamed jasmine rice.
The resort is full of delicious restaurant options, offering items such as chili chilaquiles
The kids ate a burger and fries and chicken strips and milk on the side. For dessert we all split a skillet chocolate-chip cookie à la mode, topped with vanilla ice cream; and a pineapple-coconut cheese cake with a sour cream top, graham cracker bottom, pineapple relish and vanilla anglaise.
After dinner, we watched a movie in the room and the kids went to bed. I then snuck out to play some slots and a few hands of poker in the casino. The casino features 1,800 of the hottest slots, table games, bingo action, and off-track betting in the Coachella Valley.
The casino all the best table games and hundreds of modern slot machines
The next morning I worked out at the fitness center and then we returned to POM for a wonderful breakfast. I enjoyed juevos rancheros, with fried eggs set atop crunchy corn tortillas with refried beans, cheese sour cream, guacamole and ranchero sauce. We also had delightful buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, and a plate of banana bread French toast, with bananas, strawberries, walnuts and whipped cream.
Civic Center Park in Palm Desert is a short drive from the resort
After breakfast, we drove a couple miles to Civic Center Park in nearby Palm Desert (https://www.myrecreationdistrict.com/park/palm-desert-civic-center-park). Here we found 70 acres of fun, with a large lake full of ducks and swans looking for a snack, fun playgrounds for the kids, modern art scattered about, benches and barbecues, lots of walking trails and more.
Back at Fantasy Springs Resort we found more excitement at the Fantasy Lanes Bowling Center and Arcade, where we bowled a few frames and the kids played an assortment of fun video games. We then walked next door for lunch at Lique, an old fashioned ice cream parlor with old school ice cream flavors in a hip, sexy environment.
Kids love the arcade at Fantasy Lanes Bowling Center
For lunch we had fish and chips and a couple carne asada tacos. For a treat, we then split an old-fashioned Lique-Ity Split banana split with banana, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, hot fudge, mixed nuts, crushed pineapple and strawberry topping.
After lunch we returned to our favorite spot next to the pool, where we swam, lounged and relaxed in the Jacuzzi.
Besides luxury hotel rooms, great restaurants, a fun pool area, and exciting gambling, Fantasy Springs also boasts the award-winning Clive Clark-designed Eagle Falls Golf Course, a gorgeous course set against the Santa Rosa and Chocolate Mountains.
Eagle Falls is Coachella Valley’s only golf course on the same site as a casino which offers resort guests the convenience of stepping out of the hotel lobby, dropping their clubs at a bag drop and riding over to the course in less than a minute. The course treats golfers to unique vistas throughout the terrain including a 40-foot waterfall on the 18th hole, rolling hills, and one hole is an almost exact replica of the “Postage Stamp” 8th hole at the famous Royal Troon Golf Course in Scotland.
Eagle Falls Golf Course is one of the top public golf courses in the Palm Springs area
Since its opening, Eagle Falls has consistently been rated one of the top public courses in the Palm Springs area and was recently named one of Golfweek’s “Top Casino Golf Courses in the United States.”
“I get stopped by golfers all the time telling me what a perfect golfing gem Eagle Falls is,” said Eagle Falls Golf Director, Tom Silva. “The setting is magnificent, making for a perfect day on the course, no matter your skill level.”
The resort also hosts top name acts at its world-class Special Events Center. This season’s line-up includes legendary acts such as Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening on May 24 and Dustin Lynch in July. Recent entertainment included Ice Cube; and classic game shows, The Price Is Right Live and Dancing With the Stars, to name a few.
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is located at 84-245 Indio Springs Pkwy, Indio, CA 92203. For more information, visit https://www.fantasyspringsresort.com/ or call 800-827-2946

Okay, foodies, listen up! HUGE news for the Long Beach dining scene! Sosogu Sushi & Japanese BBQ is now open in its absolutely stunning flagship location at 3860 Worsham Ave #300, right in the middle of the happening LBX Long Beach Exchange.
Now, if the name Sosogu sounds familiar, it might be because of its acclaimed spot in Redlands, founded back in 2022. Get this – one of the co-founders is Tobias Miller, yes, the former guitarist from The Wallflowers, who teamed up with hospitality expert Richard Gottlieb. This new Long Beach location takes everything amazing about the original and dials it up – we’re talking seriously premium Japanese eats, seafood sourced with incredible care, and a full bar that’s going to blow you away. This is poised to be the new benchmark for modern Japanese dining in the area.
At Sosogu, it’s all about purity and letting amazing ingredients shine. Prepare your taste buds for premium Japanese BBQ sets featuring that melt-in-your-mouth A5 Japanese Wagyu, American Wagyu, and other specialty cuts you won’t want to miss. Their signature sushi courses are crafted with wild-caught fish, showing off some serious knife skills. And guess what? They even make their noodles in-house for that perfect, authentic texture and flavor. Don’t even get me started on the small plates and desserts – think delicate Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio, addictive Nagoya-Style Wings, luxurious Toro Caviar Crispy Rice, and the must-try Brick Toast with salted honey, whipped cream, and berries. Drooling yet?
We were invited to try out the various dishes at Sosogu and everything we had was delicious. Here’s a look at the Tasting menu and foods.
1 of 13
Co-Founder Tobias Miller puts it perfectly: “Japanese cuisine is an art form that transforms simple, high-quality ingredients into an unforgettable dish.” He stressed their commitment, saying, “At Sosogu, we uphold this tradition by meticulously sourcing every element, from the fish and meats to the rice, and even crafting our noodles in-house. Our goal is to create a dining experience that truly honors Japanese culinary craftsmanship.” You can totally feel that passion!
Sosogu means “Pour It Up,” and let me tell you, the vibe totally embraces that celebratory spirit. The centerpiece is an expansive full bar that houses Southern California’s largest curated sake collection – seriously! You can explore rare gems like Katoukichibee Born “Chogin,” Noguchi 01 Limited Edition, and Noguchi 01 Special Edition.
If sake’s not your jam, their handcrafted cocktails like the Roku Grapefruit Spritz and Japanese Old Fashioned sound divine, plus they have an extensive Japanese whisky list with tasting flights for the true connoisseurs.
Taking over the former Plancha Latin Kitchen space in the upscale LBX district, Sosogu Long Beach looks incredible – sleek and modern, but with beautiful traditional Japanese touches. It’s a spacious 3,500 sq ft spot with a patio, ready to welcome about 135 guests. Here’s the super fun part: 18 tables feature state-of-the-art infrared grills for an interactive Japanese BBQ experience! Imagine grilling your own Japanese A5 Wagyu brisket or hanger steak, right at the table – yes, please!
Miller added, “Our Redlands location was embraced with such enthusiasm that expanding felt like a natural next step. LBX offers the perfect setting to elevate our vision, with an expanded menu, full bar, and an immersive Japanese BBQ experience. We can’t wait to welcome Long Beach to the world of Sosogu and ‘pour it up’ together at our grand opening!” Honestly, I can’t wait either! Get ready, Long Beach – this is going to be epic!
