Fresh looks and tastes are coming to the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel thanks to new updates coming to the hotels starting later this year.
Tangaroa Terrace is being shut down for renovations, opening early 2019 with a new title: Tangaroa Terrace, Tropical Bar and Grill. The location will retain it’s 1950s Tiki theme, adding a new outdoor bar and refreshed patio space. More detailing will also be completed in the restaurant’s interior, with added light fixtures made of colorful fishing boats, a tropical mural, and other exotic accents like bamboo. Guests will also have a dedicated service window for a quick food stop, including options like coffee and Dole Whip. The popular pineapple snack will be available throughout the day. The new grill will feature fare for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. While guests wait for the magic to be completed, menu offerings will be available at the hotel’s other dining locations: The Coffee House, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and Steakhouse 55.
Meanwhile, White Water Snacks will be getting an updated look, reopening later this year. Hearthstone Lounge will pick up some grab and go food options to help during refurbishment. Yet, that won’t be all that’s coming to the flagship hotel. Guests will soon get their change to explore a new pool bar, slated to open spring of 2019. The new bar will retain the iconic Arts and Crafts design, adding custom tile work, a shady trellis structure, among new lounge and seating options.
The news joins a list of other updates coming to the resort within the coming months, including Adventureland’s Tropical Hideway. Stay tuned for more details!
