Universal Studios Hollywood Dazzles for the Holidays

The holidays are officially on the calendar at Universal Studios Hollywood. This year’s celebration runs daily from Saturday, November 21, 2026 through Sunday, January 3, 2027 — and it’s all included with regular theme park admission.

Returning favorites include Grinchmas, Illumination’s Merry Minions, and Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, plus festive new touches in SUPER NINTENDO WORLD and across Universal CityWalk. Here’s everything merry coming to the park this season:

Grinchmas

• Universal Plaza transforms into a full Who-bilation, anchored by a whimsical 65-foot tree dressed in hundreds of colorful ornaments and thousands of sparkling LED lights
• Meet the Grinch himself, his faithful dog Max, and a roster of Who-ville Whos
• A tree lighting ceremony with a glistening snowfall flurry, multiple times each evening
• Live entertainment including Cindy-Lou Who reading How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Fah-Who 4 A’s performing holiday melodies
• Who-tacular sweet treats and park-exclusive Grinchmas merchandise
• Stop by the Who-ville post office to send the Grinch postcards listing your three good deeds — and decorate a festive Grinchmas paper ornament

Illumination’s Merry Minions

• Debuting this year: the Merry Minions arrive in Minion Land with twinkling decorations and delightful holiday décor
• A special meet and greet with the Minions in their festive holiday attire
• Seasonal bites available at Minion Cafe
• A brand-new Merry Minions merchandise collection

Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

• Hogsmeade village captures the season with dazzling lights, magical garlands, seasonal wreaths, and its snow-capped rooftops
• The Frog Choir fills the air with seasonal melodies, performing multiple times a day
• Warm up with the seasonal favorite hot Butterbeer — alongside the classic cold and frozen options — and shop the village for holiday keepsakes
• The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle returns each night, transforming the iconic castle into a stunning showcase of festive lights set to the beloved film music

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD

• Cheerful holiday décor throughout the land, including Mario and Luigi snowmen beside a holiday tree crowned with a shining Super Star at the Mushroom Kingdom entrance
• Special holiday merchandise at the 1-UP Factory shop and retail locations across the park

Universal CityWalk Hollywood

• A spectacular 40-foot Christmas tree illuminated by more than 200,000 LED lights
• An all-new holiday merchandise collection at the Universal Studios Store — apparel, accessories, collectibles, home décor, and ornaments
• Live music, dynamic DJ sets, and interactive street performers on the 5 Towers stage on select evenings
• Admission to Universal CityWalk is free
