Samuel Jacobo (pictured center) of Summit High School in Fontana, Calif., arrives at the Disneyland Resort’s Grad Nite to celebrate his graduation and enters the history books on Thursday, May 28, 2009, as the five millionth guest of the popular graduation bash. Jacobo was greeted by the Resort’s Celebration Street Team, had his photo taken with Mickey Mouse and received special gifts for the prestigious honor. Since 1961, Grad Nite at the Disneyland Resort has been the choice for high school graduates nationwide to gather for a safe and exclusive after-hours party featuring classic attractions, dance clubs and deejays from Southern California’s most popular radio stations.
This spring, high school seniors will celebrate the ‘end of an era’ at the ultimate party of the year: Disneyland Resort’s Grad Nite, presented by Honda. On select nights from 11:30 p.m. until the break of dawn at 6 a.m., Disneyland is an after-dark, thrill-park packed with high energy, the hottest dance clubs in town, thrilling rides and memories to last a lifetime. The Class of 2009 is thrown into an exclusive experience where Disneyland does a complete 180 degree turn from its daily park environment. The night rocks with a unique brand of Disney entertainment, dance clubs and deejays from Southern California’s most popular radio stations. Grad Nite at the Disneyland Resort is a private event exclusively for graduating seniors and held on the nights of May 14, 21, 28 and June 4, 10, 11 and 18.
