Universal Studios Hollywood is preparing for extinction with the announcement that Jurassic Park-The Ride will be transformed into an updated version of the attraction based off the hit film Jurassic World.
Universal has stated that the new attraction will be a “fully re-imagined iteration of the ground breaking adventure” that will include a new introduction with never before seen dinosaurs, fresh colors, lush scenery, and “enhanced” storytelling. The ride will also be upgraded with the latest technology to create an unforgettable theme park experience. The ride is slated to open in 2019.
To celebrate the original attraction, Universal Studios has launched a “Countdown to Extinction” campaign that invites fans from around the globe to come back and visit the park one last time before the new attraction opens next year.
Jurassic Park fans will also be given the opportunity to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original film in a two night event hosted by the theme park that includes an after hours party, one of a kind experiences, and a special VIP screening of the original film. Jurassic Park—The Ride will officially close on September 3, 2018.
