There is a particular kind of magic that settles over Ghost Town when the holidays arrive, and this year it comes with a brand-new headliner. Knott’s Merry Farm returns November 20 through January 3, 2027, turning the park into a winter wonderland of twinkling lights, festive décor, seasonal food, and old-fashioned holiday traditions.
The big debut this season is Snoopy’s Merry Christmas Follies, a new ice-skating spectacular at the Walter Knott Theater. A swinging vocal quartet sings beloved holiday classics while a line of high-kicking Follies dancers and a company of world-class ice skaters fill the rink, with Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang right in the middle of it all. It is the kind of big, sparkling production that feels made for a family night out, full of timeless tunes, breathtaking skating, and genuine holiday warmth.
Elsewhere in the park, the returning favorites are back in full force. Home for the Holidays returns to the Calico Mine Stage with dancing and seasonal celebration, while the Calico Carolers fill the streets of Ghost Town with classic and contemporary holiday music, giving the whole area the feel of a Victorian-era Christmas. The Wandering Wranglers bring their own holiday flair to Calico Park, and Fiesta Village keeps the music going with Latin performances from Wayu Band, Adelaide Pilar, and Junio.
After dark, Ghost Town glows. The Snow and Glow experience covers the buildings and pathways in thousands of lights that dance to the beat of Christmas music while snow drifts gently down over the streets. It is one of those moments that stops you in your tracks, and it is worth planning an evening stroll through Ghost Town just for it.
Over at the Wilderness Dance Hall, the space transforms into Santa’s Christmas Cabin, where families can take photos with Santa Claus and his friends. At the Bird Cage Theatre, Knott’s melodrama company presents two heartwarming productions: a reimagined Charles Dickens classic, A Calico Christmas Carol, and the Knott’s take on O. Henry’s tale of love and sacrifice, The Gift of the Magi, 1885. And the Christmas Crafts Village returns with local artisans selling handcrafted gifts, holiday décor, and seasonal treasures that make for genuinely unique finds.
No holiday visit is complete without the food, and this year’s lineup leans into the festive comforts: Prancer’s pot roast tater tots, glazed ham sandwiches, hot chocolate churros, and more seasonal flavors and sweet treats scattered throughout the park.
For anyone wanting to stretch the visit into a getaway, the Knott’s Merry Farm Holiday Package at Knott’s Hotel bundles accommodations with one day of Merry Farm admission for each registered guest plus hotel parking, with an option to add breakfast each morning.
