Four children from the Make-A-Wish Foundation joined forces with four celebrities including former San Diego Padre David Eckstein, Alison Haislip, Alex Albrecht and Ashley Eckstein as they ran through “Course of the Force,” an Olympic torch style relay with an actual LEGO® light saber!

Baden from Carlsbad, Robert from Solana Beach, Zachary from Encinitas and Camille from Solana Beach experienced rides throughout the course including the all-new Pirate Reef, Sky Cruiser, Build-A-Raft River, LEGO TECHNIC® Coaster and Knights’ Tournament. The relay run concluded in LEGO® Star Wars™ Miniland.

Course of the Force is traveling down the Southern California coast July 7-11, just days leading up to the San Diego Comic-Con International®. Proceeds from the event benefit the Make-A-Wish® chapters of San Diego, Greater Los Angeles, Orange County and the Inland Empire. Anyone interested in this unique experience and contributing to a worthy cause can register online at www.courseoftheforce.com/registration to participate! A limited number of spaces are available.

LEGOLAND is also providing an exclusive experience for the Course of the Force through an eBay charity auction starting July 7. The package includes four Resort Memberships, a two-night stay at the Sheraton Carlsbad Resort and Spa, $500 LEGO Star Wars product gift pack, $100 LEGOLAND gift card and an exclusive 30 minute Model Builder Session inside LEGOLAND California’s Model Shop.
