Flavors of the World Food Festival at Six Flags Magic Mountain takes guests on an international culinary tour de flavor of tasty bites from around the world. Seven kiosks represent seven countries covered in colorful decor serving samples that represent their respective places of origin. Food and Beverage Passports will be your ticket to the fun. Guests may choose either eight or twelve sample cards. Passholders get the best deal by paying for a 12-sample card for the price of an 8-sample card! Just remember the event is on Saturdays and Sundays from March 23 to May 5 from 12 pm until 1 hour before park closing. With all that in mind, let’s dig in!
Flavors of the World Food Festival covers the main pathway between Full Throttle roller coaster and Lex Luthor: Drop of Doom. Following this route, guests encounter food booths for Korea, China, India, Italy, Greece, Mexico, and the Carribean. Be sure to collect a button from each kiosk visit and add to your lanyard.
Even with the afternoon start time, the booths were still setting up and not completely prepared with all ingredients. Also be aware of fresh training with the event’s early beginnings. First visit was Korea. The Gochujang Chicken Wings was drowning in spicy sauce. The edamame and corn of the Korean Quinoa Stir Fry offered a substandard taste considering the small portion. The refreshing Watermelon Lemonade had sweet and pulpy texture regardless of the inconsistency upon a second helping later in the day.
China had similar operations issues. Chicken with Yakisoba Noodles was as plain as you can get from unflavored Panda Express. Even with descent portions. Youtiao (Chinese Donuts) had a crispy shell and tasty dense core. But the caramel sauce was missing and one donut short compared to what was pictured. In fact, both China and Korea had missing ingredients that were described but not present.
Despite the underwhelming start, India had a dish that turned the event around. After the cold but good bowl serving of Rice Kheer, the warm Punjabi Samosa really kicked things into gear. Instead of one hand sized Samosa, there were small bite sizes of the crispy pastry to dip into the sweet and sour sauce.
Italy was tucked inside the Whistlestop Park near Bugs Bunny World. Toasted Ravioli is certain to be a surefire hit with kids with toasted cheese palate and marinara sauce. The spumoni ice cream with creamy chocolate, pistachio, and cherry flavors was a delight in the California sun.
Greece sits across from the entrance of the Goliath roller coaster. Despite the ingredient ratio on Beef Gyro on Pita Bread being light on tomatoes and lettuce and heavy on patty meat and tzatziki sauce, the tasty dish was satisfying and worth the cost. Equally worthy was the sweet baklava. Cut in three separate bite-sizes, a delicious dessert easily shared.
Mexico and the Carribean booths stood their ground on either side of the SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton steel shuttle roller coaster track. Mexico brought out a good helping of Chicken Tostada and delightful Street Corn on the Cob. Both festive dishes delivered serviceable on taste and portion.
The stuffed crispy pastry wins again. This time with the Carribean cuisine. The delectable Spinach and Cheese Empanada came in one hand-sized portion. The tiny and unsatisfying filling of the Cubano Cigar Spring Rolls left much to be desired. Enough desire to have chosen the Jamaican Jerk Chicken instead. Luckily the sweet taste of Pine Orange Punch washed the disappointment away and quenched my thirst for more Food Festival bites.
But alas, we’re all out of available samples on the provided taste card. No worries, the food and beverage can either be purchased individually or with another 8 or 12 sample food card. Any way you slice it or dice it, Flavors of the World Food Festival at Six Flags Magic Mountain is a great additional entertaining alternative to the springtime fun at this local favorite amusement park. Be sure to fly in and drop by Saturdays and Sundays between March 23 to May 5 for the special limited time culinary adventure.
Been missing the Halloween scare season or have ever been curious about undertaking a haunt event but too afraid to do so before? Six Flags Magic Mountain has you under the covers with Scream Break. This after-regular park hours haunt event occurs every Friday and Saturday night during the peak of the Spring Break season from March 22 until April 13, 2024. With an iconic tiki skull logo, “get a dose of vitamin scream” after the sun sets and the party music rises to a full vibing volume. The halfway-to-Halloween event cranks up the fun that sets it apart from other springtime theme park offerings by mixing in a dose of the park’s Fright Fest to seal the deal.
Three scare zones, two haunted houses, and several roller coasters in the dark between 9 pm-midnight offer up a slew of monster entertainment to satisfy both a spooky craving and a dance party atmosphere. Imagine Spooky Island from the 2002 live-action “Scooby-Doo” film coming to life.
1 of 40
Demon’s Row is the first scare zone to be encountered. The term scare zone is used pretty loosely during Scream Break compared to expectations during a regular haunt season. Serving up alcoholic beverages and blood bags, Haunted Happy Hour occurs 7:30pm – 9pm as the rest of the transitions from closing to regular park guests and setting up half the park to the evening festivities. Ghouls Gone Wild DJ spins tunes and undead college students rise from the grave to dance the night away with guests for an unreal spring break vacation. Play an oversized game of beer pong with severed heads. Demon’s Row is also the home to the first haunted house to be encountered. Condemned: House Party is resurrected from Six Flags Fright Fest during the occasion. A Christmas lit, decrepit fraternity house is overrun by untidy college students that can’t or won’t stop partying despite being undead. Party guests are sure to have a good time with their excitable hosts.
It’s a quiet stroll approaching Bloodborne Hollow scare zone in the Whistlestop Park. Regal stilt walkers and chatty vampires lurk in alluring motion around the colorfully lit cul-de-sac of blues, purples, and pink lighting. Dimming jack-o-lanterns, hanging chandeliers, protruding gravestones, and parked hearse against a crippling tree make up the compact scare zone. Flickering candelabras and glowing seats would have also fit well here to attract more attention in this area.
Disco ball lit pathway leads to the Grave scare zone in front of DC Universe. It’s also incidentally where the Deadman’s Party DJ dance music is playing for demonic clowns.

The queue for the SAW themed attraction from Six Flags Fright Fest 2023 is a fraction from before while still located in the same place. Slight enhancements that most guests won’t notice were given to thematic lighting, atmospheric sound, set decor, and a couple more actors to fill rooms. The victims still play convincing roles while Jigsaw’s pig assistants still need work on menacing demeanor. The most notable change is displaying white arrows painted on black walls to guide guests in the correct path.
A live 10 minute slider show occurs at 11pm in the DC Universe area. Be sure to watch from the table seating side for the best view. The show itself is more choreographed and less of a competition amongst the performers.
Six Flags Scream Break is more about the spooky party vibes and less about making guests have nightmares. A worthy separation apart from regular expectations of Fright Fest. The crowds are low, characters are more personable, and the party atmosphere makes for a chill evening with friends or date night. With ride access to six roller coasters, we recommend at the start of the event to ride Full Throttle and Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage first.
Tickets are $40 for admission after 7:30 pm. Parking is a separate fee. However, season pass holders are admitted FREE upon online or in-park reservations and availability. Visit SixFlags.com for more details.

Get ready, streaming fans, because the landscape just shifted. Disney has officially brought Hulu into the fold, merging the two services for Disney Bundle subscribers. This means if you love the family-friendly magic of Disney+and the edgy originals and vast library of Hulu, you now have everything under one roof.
Let’s be clear – this isn’t some half-hearted integration. Disney’s playing for keeps. The full Hulu experience is now embedded within Disney+: recommendations, collections, and seamless browsing will make you forget you ever had to switch apps. Think of it less like a merger and more like an all-you-can-eat entertainment buffet where Mickey Mouse is hanging out with Meredith Grey and the stars of The Bear.
“The collective power of Disney+ and Hulu – outstanding originals from the most powerful brands and studios in the industry, libraries filled with decades of iconic favorites, and industry-leading advertising and technological capabilities – is transformative,” said Joe Earley, President of Direct-to-Consumer, Disney Entertainment. “Today’s official launch of Hulu on Disney+ gives viewers even more opportunities to easily discover and enjoy thousands of titles all in one place, underscoring the extraordinary value of the Disney Bundle.”
Is It Worth It? Absolutely.
If you’re already a Bundle subscriber, this is a no-brainer upgrade. Hulu’s critically acclaimed shows like Only Murders in the Building and Poor Things are a great counterpoint to Disney’s heartwarming content.
But even if you only have Disney+, there’s a strong case for adding Hulu:
Expanded Library: Thousands of additional movies and TV shows open up, significantly boosting the value of your subscription.
Easy Upgrade: The cost difference is minimal – just $2/month!
Personalized Picks: Disney’s recommendation engine just got a whole lot smarter, suggesting titles across the combined libraries.
The massive marketing push behind this launch tells the story – billboards, custom spots, and even events at Disney parks. This isn’t just about convenience; Disney’s signaling that Hulu content now holds equal weight within their streaming empire. Even the Disney+ branding got a makeover, with Hulu’s signature green now a prominent part of the color scheme.
Aaron LaBerge, President & CTO, Disney Entertainment & ESPN added, “This marks the most significant technical, operational, and product evolution for Disney+ since its launch – one that reflects a wider technology transformation that we have been undertaking. That work is going to drive an enhanced, more engaging user experience with Disney+ and lays the foundation for the innovations and enhancements we are planning for the future.”
For streaming fans, the choice has become much tougher for competitors like Netflix and HBO Max. Disney+ and Hulu were already a great bundle. Hey adventurers! You’ve seen the gorgeous details of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure emerge, from the murals to that stunning Tiana Audio-Animatronic. But now, get ready to step deep into the bayou itself, because it’s time to meet some of the new faces bringing the music to this magical place!
Princess Tiana’s got a party to throw, but Naveen and Louis have caused a royal mix-up! Suddenly, there’s no band! We already knew this ride would introduce some new friends, and that’s where the critters come in. No Mardi Gras bash is complete without some toe-tapping tunes, and Tiana and Louis are off on a whirlwind bayou search for those missing musicians.
So, who are these critters?
Picture this: floating gently down the river, fireflies twinkling above, you hear “Gonna Take You There” bursting with a whole new Zydeco flavor! Fiddles, accordions, even a washboard – it’s a symphony of sounds crafted from bits of nature and lost treasures. This critter band is seriously charming, and now, it’s time to meet some of the furry (and scaly!) musicians behind the magic.
Byhalia the Beaver – Byhalia doesn’t just build dams; she helps build musical instruments using natural materials from the bayou. As a strong-willed percussionist, it’s safe to say Byhalia is the heartbeat of the band, as well as a natural designer and engineer.
Gritty the Rabbit – Always willing to dig a little deeper to help others, Gritty plays the washboard (a found automobile license plate) with a high-energy flair. It’s the perfect instrument for someone who’s often overzealous and digs to relieve her nerves.
Beau the Opossum – Seeing limitless possibilities, no one finds more wonder in the bayou and the sounds of zydeco music than Beau. All she knows is beauty, especially her own. Guests can find her plucking out the low notes with her upright gourd bass, which of course, involves some musical dexterity with her tail.
Apollo the Raccoon – Apollo loves transforming abandoned objects into works of musical art – like his squeezebox. He’s full of energy and storytelling, especially about the objects he finds in the bayou. He’s particularly close with Rufus and appreciates Rufus’ calm demeanor.
Rufus the Turtle – Rufus may be a turtle, but he’s quick to jump into rhythm with his harmonica. He’s also the first to join in on new adventures! He’s genuine and sincere but may come across as a little sarcastic at times with his habitual sighing. Rufus loves going on adventures with Apollo.
Timoléon the Otter – He’s the eldest of the band, but Timoléon’s fiddle-playing is inspired by all the ‘kids’ he spends his time around while in the bayou. When he’s not sawing out a jig, he’s famous for telling stories of days long ago about his explorations of every corner of the bayou.
Okay, so these musical critters are seriously awesome, but Tiana hints there’s EVEN MORE to discover in the bayou…ooh, the suspense! Disney Imagineering just dropped some brand-new original characters on us, and that’s a BIG deal! Plus, get this – you can take your favorite critter home! Beau, Apollo, and Rufus are getting the plush treatment, ready for cuddles.
But wait, there’s MORE! Turns out, this is just the first taste of the critters we’ll meet in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Get ready, because this ride opens THIS SUMMER at Walt Disney World and hits Disneyland later this year!
