Get ready to Really Go There as Universal Studios Hollywood takes fandom to a whole new level with its imaginative all-new, after-hours, separately ticketed event, Universal Fan Fest Nights, designed to transport fans and guests into immersive in-world experiences. Tickets are now on sale for the inaugural event which takes place on the following dates: April 25-27; May 2-4, 9-11 and 16-18, 2025.

Launching exclusively at Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Fan Fest Nights comes to life from the minds of Halloween Horror Nights’ innovative creators and debuts with the same level of intensity and detail as this popular seasonal event. Universal Fan Fest Nights will feature all-new, uniquely curated experiences inspired by sci-fi, fantasy, gaming and anime.

Guests can tap into their inner fandom to join forces with their favorite characters while sharing their enthusiasm with like-minded fans as they engage in cosplay with such renowned favorites as Star Trek, Back to the Future, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS, One Piece and Jujutsu Kaisen. Additionally, theme park favorites, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ and SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ will offer special additions and introduce character and interactive elements during Universal Fan Fest Nights.

Guests can look forward to experiencing each of these unique experiences throughout the theme park every night of the event.

An energetic block party will invite fans across every genre to share their passions and enthusiasm in fandom celebration, and an array of interactive activations will take place throughout the theme park, including live entertainment, cosplay and photo opportunities.

Here’s what guests and fans can expect at Universal Fan Fest Nights 2025:

Star Trek: Red Alert—Inspired by the Star Trek universe that has entertained millions of fans, this daring walk-through experience will boldly take guests on an immersive adventure aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D on a mission to prevent an interstellar threat. Guests will find themselves transported to the year 2403, just as an otherworldly entity wreaks havoc on the ship. As the chaos ensues, guests will venture further into the Enterprise, navigating familiar Star Trek environments, from the ship’s engineering room to transporter pads, to the soul of the Starship Enterprise, the bridge—an original set piece featured in the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard—in a desperate quest to stop the perceived danger and restore peace aboard the ship. Laden with special effects, audio-visual effects, multi-sensory activations and themed performers, this all-original experience will create an unforgettable, awe-inspiring moment that will elevate Star Trek fandom to new levels.

Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley—This nostalgic experience is based on the 1985 Back to the Future blockbuster movie and invites guests to time travel back to 1955 Hill Valley alongside the film’s iconic characters. Time travel begins the moment guests climb aboard the Studio Tour “Fan Tram” and venture towards Courthouse Square, the original filming location for this classic film located on the Universal Studios world famous backlot. Brimming with authenticity, Back to the Future: Destination Hill Valley will pay homage to this groundbreaking film by inserting guests into many familiar scenes with iconic props. From Hill Valley with the original Lyon Estate monuments to the Time Machine on display, guests will have the sensation of going back in time as they partake in the energetic recreation of the Enchantment Under the Sea dance and Hill Valley Festival plus experience a stunning recreation of the Clock Tower lightning strike, sending Marty back to the future multiple times each event night.

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep—Inspired by the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game™, DUNGEONS & DRAGONS (D&D), this epic experience will welcome guests and fans to partake in a one-of-a-kind adventure and explore the fantastic world of D&D. Guests will join the Harpers—a heroic spy network—to foil a plot by the legendary beholder Xanathar and save the city of Waterdeep. In creating this unique experience, Universal Studios Hollywood is collaborating with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop to create the legendary beholder Xanathar that will come to life within DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: Secrets of Waterdeep. For over 40 years, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop has been a world-renowned innovator in puppetry, animatronics and digital animation.

One Piece: Grand Pirate Gathering—This unique experience is inspired by the long-running global hit anime series, One Piece, from creator Eiichiro Oda, that follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his Straw Hat Crew, including Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji, on their quest to find “One Piece,” the legendary treasure of the former King of the Pirates, Gol D. Roger. The Grand Pirate Gathering will transport guests into the series’ fictional world of pirates through an immersive and interactive experience, complete with iconic visuals and scenic environments that place fans at the heart of the action. Guests will also have time to enjoy uplifting meet and greet opportunities with different characters and as well as participate in themed interactive photo ops.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Hunger of the Cursed—This anime experience, inspired by a widely popular Japanese manga and its anime adaptation, follows high school student Yuji Itadori after he accidently becomes the host of a powerful curse and joins Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an organization that fights the curses. This epic adventure will be transformed into an exciting film-based experience, which first debuted at Universal Studios Japan.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter—Guests and fans will have a chance to further engage in the theme park’s immersive land with all-new magical creature interactions, including the opportunity to meet the Niffler, a Baby Dragon and grand Occamy. The centerpiece of the experience will feature the visually spectacular Hogwarts™ Always light projection show designed to take guests on a whimsical journey through a school year at Hogwarts. Weaving together unforgettable music and incredible moments of wizardry, Hogwarts Always will shine bright as it comes to life set against the majestic backdrop of Hogwarts™ castle.

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD: Let’s Go, Yoshi—This exciting addition to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD will mark the debut of beloved fan favorite Yoshi as a brand new meet and greet character within the land during Universal Fan Fest Nights. As part of Yoshi’s welcome to the land, guests will have a chance to interact with Yoshi as they engage in a scavenger hunt to locate all five colorful Yoshi eggs. After completing this original quest, guests will reap the benefit of a very special reward with the unique opportunity to meet a different colored Yoshi. Plus, guests will be treated to celebratory drone moments that will illuminate the night sky throughout the evening.

The Night Agent S2 Now Streaming on Netflix

The new aesthetic will feature rustic elegance, drawing inspiration from California’s rich winemaking history. Natural textures, such as reclaimed French oak flooring and wine barrel columns, will be complemented by hand-forged metals, leathers, and a color palette inspired by California Cabernet. A striking chandelier, reminiscent of California’s Mission grapevines, will serve as a captivating centerpiece.

Plans Underway for Two All-New Concierge Lounges at Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian

This summer, the Disneyland Hotel will unveil a reimagined concierge lounge, the High Key Club, celebrating the music and sounds of Disneyland park circa 1955. This stylish oasis in the sky will blend swanky sophistication with vibrant colors and playful touches, paying homage to the mid-century modern aesthetic of the era.

Drawing inspiration from the enduring legacy of Disneyland park’s original sounds, the High Key Club will honor music, artists, musicians, and voices, as well as unique instruments, bands, foley sounds, and the history of audible magic that Walt Disney brought to life. The lounge will feature a custom soundtrack showcasing the park’s iconic sounds and songs, complemented by the display of prominent artifacts.

The High Key Club will nearly double the space of the previous club-level lounge, located in the hotel’s Adventure Tower. This exclusive space will offer concierge-level guests a prime vantage point to watch Disneyland park fireworks and enjoy the accompanying music on nights featuring pyrotechnic displays.

In addition to The Veranda concierge lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, plans are underway for the hotel to add a second club-level lounge nearby.

This newly designed, two-story space will celebrate classic California Craftsman design and will be a perfect spot for lounging with a good book, relaxing with a glass of wine or admiring the hotel’s Great Hall lobby below. Continuing the hotel’s forest theme of the Great Hall lobby, the new concierge lounge will be inspired by giant sequoias and will be located high in the “treetops” of the 5th and 6th floors — an “aviary” where club level guests can relax, rest and “nest” in luxury and hospitality.

This space will continue the unique Californian Craftsman design by showcasing columns and arches inspired by the existing lobby architecture, wrought iron branching details, and beautiful hand-crafted tile murals. The flora and fauna will keep with the story of the sequoias.

Certain to be stunning, the lounge will be filled with natural light during the day and a golden glow at sunset from expansive skylights, with a two-story stained-glass door and a curved staircase leading to the mezzanine. This new space is slated for completion in 2026.

For guests unfamiliar with Pixar Place Hotel, the Creators Club concierge lounge offers a unique glimpse into the creative collaboration between Walt Disney Imagineering and Pixar Animation Studios.

Disney’s Grand Californian to Add New Décor to Guest Rooms

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will begin refreshing all its guest rooms, including the Disney Vacation Club Villas. The décor will complement the rooms’ existing Arts & Crafts motif, yet will add new bold colors across the carpets, upholstery and bedding, with accents inspired by the beautiful California wildflower blooms often found in Impressionistic plein air paintings that helped define the art movement of the Arts and Crafts period and continue to inspire artists today. Pixar Place Hotel Reveals New Details on Themed Signature Suites

This summer, Pixar Place Hotel will add two new, two-bedroom themed premium suites, opening new doors into the worlds of Pixar Animation’s “Coco”and “The Incredibles.”

The Coco Suite, with Oaxacan-style architecture, will feature terracotta tiling, Mexican artisan quilted and woven pieces, a fireplace, unique handcrafted wooden furniture, and thoughtful touches of hand-painted art. The Coco Suite is inspired by the film’s Rivera family hacienda with many family photos and mementos.

New Nintendo Switch 2 Coming Later this year

Nintendo Switch 2, the successor to the Nintendo Switch system, will be released in 2025. Nintendo offered a first look at Nintendo Switch 2 in a video introducing the hardware.

Nintendo Switch 2 plays Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive games, as well as both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. Certain Nintendo Switch games may not be supported on or fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2. Details will be shared on the Nintendo website at a later date.

Get Ready to Celebrate: 75 Years of Snoopy and the Peanuts Gang at Knott’s

Knott’s PEANUTS™ Celebration has one more reason to celebrate this year! The beloved PEANUTS comic strip turns 75 in 2025. In honor of this significant anniversary, guests will enjoy the debut of the brand-new musical show, Let’s Celebrate, and the limited-time exhibit, “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” And as they do every year, Snoopy and the PEANUTS Gang will stage a park takeover with plenty of excitement and family-friendly fun running weekends from February 8 through March 9. Guests will also experience a fun lineup of returning shows and photo ops inspired by the iconic PEANUTS comic strip. Throughout the park, guests will have several chances to play and interact with their favorite PEANUTS characters.

At Calico’s Town Hall, guests will enter a new, limited-time exhibit dedicated to “The Life and Art of Charles M. Schulz.” This exhibit explores Schulz’s personal history and his role as the sole inspiration and artistic talent behind PEANUTS and its unique cast of characters. Follow along with Schulz’s story, from his Minnesota roots to his life in California and the development of the characters that make up the unique world of PEANUTS.

Also new this year, Knott’s Berry Farm presents, Let’s Celebrate, a heartwarming musical tribute on the Calico Mine Stage in honor of PEANUTS’ 75th Anniversary. Snoopy, Charlie Brown and all their friends, as well as a host of singers and dancers, remind us why Peanuts is still beloved after 75 years! The Calico Mine Stage will transform at nightfall as the park hosts Snoopy’s Legendary Rooftop Concert where the Peanuts gang and the indie band, The Jelly of the Month Club, perform a high-energy spectacle sure to have everyone dancing.

The PEANUTS-inspired festivities will continue at the Bird Cage Theatre, where the park offers an experience that teaches the young and the young at heart how to draw their favorite PEANUTS characters. The PEANUTS Sketch School will include our resident art teacher, who will provide step-by-step instructions on creating the perfect PEANUTS masterpiece.

A western escapade occurs with Franklin and Linus at Calico Park as they transform into cowboys in the PEANUTS Cowboy Jamboree. The boys want to challenge guests with some of Calico’s root-toot-tootiest games. Also in Ghost Town is Pigpen’s Pig Pen, where everyone’s favorite messy pal will join the rest of the Peanuts gang as he hosts a special meetup at the Livery Stables with some animal friends.

Warehouse 72, Irvine’s new chef-driven, modern American eatery at Hyatt Regency Irvine, is offering two limited-time Dry January Mocktails to kickstart the new year. The bartender crafted mocktails include the Peaceful Pearidice, boasting Seedlip Notas De Agave, prickly pear, lime juice, and agave, and the Rapheal, meaning ‘Angel’ or ‘healing,’ containing Ritual Tequila Alternative, Blood orange juice, lime juice, agave, aloe syrup, and club soda.

LA County’s upscale Desi eatery, SHOR Bazaar, is kicking off the New Year with a brand-new mocktail menu to celebrate Dry January.

Opened in 2024, SHOR is known for its trailblazing non-alcoholic bar program, redefining sober mixology with bold, halal mocktails, rotating seasonal menus, zero-proof shots, beer, and even N/A wine menu. A centerpiece of the program is SHOR’s luxurious “Water Bar,” offering bottles ranging from $8 to $1,000.

Each mocktail on the Dry January menu is priced at $12 and will be available for a limited time through January 31, 2025. The Dry January mocktails include:

Kale Smash: Kale meets pineapple nectar, non-alcoholic gin, lime, and simple syrup for a bold, green creation.

Desi-inspired beverages crafted by Head Mixologist Ahmad Hosseini include the Smoked Negroni, made with Seedlip Spice 94, rose syrup and Palo Santo bitters and served under a smoke filled dome, and the Tower of Peshawar, made with Seedlip Garden 108, cucumber, basil and elderflower tonic.

WICKED Takes Flight at the 136th Rose Parade

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment partners with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses to bring the magic of WICKED to the 136th Rose Parade, celebrating the film’s digital release for purchase or rental on December 31st.

The float, “Defying Gravity,” showcases life-sized figures of Elphaba and Glinda flanking the Emerald City, highlighting their powerful friendship as they journey through Oz. Created with Phoenix Decorating Company, the float features exciting elements like a motion-activated Elphaba, Glinda’s shimmering bubbles, and a dazzling Emerald City.

Directed by Jon M. Chu, WICKED tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, starring Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Their unlikely friendship begins at Shiz University but takes different paths after an encounter with the Wizard. Their adventures ultimately lead them to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good.

The WICKED Rose Parade float celebrates friendship, self-discovery, and the vibrant world of Oz in a spectacular display that truly defies gravity.
