On Monday August 12, Segerstrom Center for the Arts celebrated the 2013-2014 season with a Preview event that was sure to please any theater patron. Season ticket holders, members of the media and special guests were invited to preview what is sure to become an amazing year for the Center.
The event was hosted by Executive Vice President Judy Morr along with Bob Bucci who is the EVP of Marketing for Broadway Across America. Bob also appeared on stage wearing a cupcake costume to showcase some of the amazing wardrobe from Priscilla Queen of the Desert (photo above).
We were treated by special performances from some of the shows that will be at the Center, some new and some favorites that are coming back.
Here are just a few of the shows that will be at Center during their new season. For the Broadway Series: Evita, The Wizard of Oz, The Book of Mormon, Jersey Boys, Ghost The Musical and ONCE will entertain audiences with new and familiar songs.
Curtain Call Series and Specials include: Priscilla Queen of the Desert, CHICAGO, I Love Lucy Live On Stage as well as Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Mamma Mia! Now this is just a small sample of what’s coming for the season. Visit the Center for more info on their entire 2013-2014 productions.
Many of these shows are World Premieres, US Premieres and California Premieres. The Center, year after year, has delivered so many great shows that keep me wanting to go back. I’m looking forward to this great season.
