Beware the blade of WonderCon as it marked its returning presence upon Anaheim Convention Center from March 28 – 30, 2025. Bestowing the annual popular culture filled weekend operated by the same organization that runs San Diego Comic Con, all manner of fandom from movies, TV shows, comic books, novels, and more express and celebrate with others in cosplay, visual art, robotics, panel discussions, autographs, photography, and other creative talents.
A shared experience one could only find where strangers becomes friends through common interests. Actors such as the cast of 1986’s “Aliens” were on hand to meet and greet fans. Panel discussions with professionals of their industry included voice over performers, horror music composers, cast of new horror film “Until Dawn”, movie poster artists, and novelists. Appropriately located mere steps directly across from Disneyland Resort concurrently opening Season of the Force celebrating all manner of Star Wars. The exhibition hall filled aisles with souvenirs, trinkets, novelty keepsakes, screen used prop displays, replicas, and more.

New and popular products from major corporations such as Funko, Mundo, and Loungefly gave fans opportunities at sneak peeks, first run purchases, and even raffles of officially licensed product lines from figurines, themed bags, and vinyl records.

Show your appreciation for cosplay outfits by requesting to take a photo of or with a cosplayer to show how much you enjoy the effort they put in their costumes. Keep in mind to of course be respectful. It’s even more exciting when strangers incidentally compliment each other’s cosplay. Or have fun with recreating moments from those stories or replicating a meme.
