Where Can I Find the Entry Turnstiles at the Resort?

Located at the main entrance to both Disneyland and California Adventure, guests can enter the parks through the esplanade located between both theme parks. They have seen turnstiles located at these entry points over the years but will see modernized new entry gates.

Pro Tip: Select guests with valid theme park admission can also skip the main entrances by entering at three other locations:

Aboard the Disneyland Monorail via Downtown Disney District station: Guests with a valid park admission or Magic Key pass and reservation to Disneyland park can travel straight to Tomorrowland on this highway in the sky.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa: Hotel guests at the Disneyland Resort can soon discover Disney California Adventure by entering the park near Grizzly Peak with a valid park admission or Magic Key pass and reservation to Disney California Adventure park.

Near Pixar Place Hotel: 30 minutes prior to park opening until 12 p.m. PST, hotel guests at the Disneyland Resort can enter Disney California Adventure by entering the park near Goofy’s Sky School with a valid park admission or Magic Key pass and reservation to Disney California Adventure park.

How Do I Use the New Entry Gates at Disneyland?

Once they are ready to start the fun, guests can head over to the entrance gate of your choice. Every gate is ADA compliant, allowing all guests with ECVs, wheelchairs and strollers to use and pass through them with ease!

Step 1: To enter each park, guests will scan each ticket using screens present at individual entry gates.
Step 2: Once each ticket is scanned, every guest in the group will then use the screen to take their own picture by pressing the camera icon on the screen to capture their photo. And don’t worry about the kids: each entry gate is equipped with camera technology that will automatically adjust to each guest’s height while snapping the photo!
Step 3: Once each ticket is scanned and the photo is digitally attached to guests’ tickets, the entry gates will automatically swing open for their party to head into the park together.

What is the Entry Process Like?

Many guests want to kick off their early morning at the resort by quickly scanning their tickets at the entrance gates so they can pick up their food and beverages they mobile ordered from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe or head toward a popular attraction like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

At each entrance gate, guests will be able to scan their tickets and take their own pictures to attach to their tickets. If they have a multi-day ticket or a Magic Key pass, they will only have to take your picture linked to your ticket one time, making this process smooth for returning guests!

While this new process allows guests to scan their tickets by themselves, a nearby cast member will also be there to help so guests can get to their next ride or make your lunch reservation in time.

What is New About This Entry Experience?

These updates at the entryways to Disneyland and California Adventure aim to improve the arrival experience with even more gates than before.

While a cast member will still be present at the park entrances to validate tickets and photos and welcome guests to the resort, newly accessible gates will open automatically after guests scan their ticket and take a photo, including for guests with ECVs, wheelchairs and strollers.

The updated entry gates will also have an access point to tap guests’ MagicBand+, allowing for easy and hands-free access.

How Does My Toddler Enter the Parks?

All guests under the age of 3 do not need a valid admission ticket or theme park reservation to enter either park, though all guests ages 3 years old and above must have both. Guests over the age of 3 will follow the same process of scanning and capturing a photo when entering, with an adult’s help of course!

Can I Use the Disneyland App or MagicBand+ to Enter?

Once guests purchase their tickets and made theme park reservations, they can open the Disneyland app and select the menu (the three horizontal lines in the bottom right of the navigation bar).

Then, once tapping “My Tickets and Passes” loading tickets to the app by selecting “Link Tickets & Passes,” they will be all set to head toward the entry gates to scan their tickets and enter the park. Guests can use the Disneyland app or tap your MagicBand+ to the access points to enter!

With additional planning tools, exclusive content and park updates including ride wait times and showtimes, the Disneyland app is everyone’s new best friend when visiting the resort over the course of their stay.

Are There Any Disney-Inspired Features?

Each entry gate features animated clips of beloved characters welcoming and eventually bidding farewell to guests upon entering and exiting, with Mickey Mouse at Disneyland and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit at California Adventure!

How Do I Re-Enter the Parks?

Whether trying to catch the dazzling nighttime return of the upcoming “Paint the Night” parade in Disneyland park or looking to take in the sights and sounds of “World of Color Happiness!” in Disney California Adventure park, the process remains the same for all guests when re-entering the parks with a theme park reservation and a valid ticket for the same day. They just scan their admission media and come on in!

Diego Luna from Disney+ Series Andor Makes Surprise Appearance

To celebrate May the 4th, Diego Luna (Cassian Andor), star of the critically acclaimed Disney+ series Andor, surprised fans earlier today during a special cavalcade up Main Street, U.S.A., at the Disneyland Resort during the separately ticketed Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite. The cavalcade featured Stormtroopers and imperial officers from the 501st Legion, as well as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse bounding as beloved Star Wars droids, R2-D2 and BB-8, respectively.

Luna addressed the excited fans in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, reminiscing on his time as part of the Star Wars universe and highlighting the incredible reach of the franchise as well as the remarkable fans.

Guests were treated to a special projection show entitled, “Welcome to the Rebellion,” during which Sleeping Beauty Castle transformed into famous backdrops from across the galaxy. Beloved scenes and music from the Star Wars franchise came to life through innovative projection mapping intertwined with lighting effects, enthralling guests and transporting them to a galaxy far, far away.

Omigod you guys! “Legally Blonde: The Musical” has been summoned and now in session at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. A fabulously fun award-winning musical based on the beloved 2001 movie. “Legally Blonde: The Musical” follows the transformation of Elle Woods (Kathryn Brunner) as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.

Elle appears to have it all until her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner (Nicholas James McDonough) dumps her to reach more serious life goals. Determined to get him back, Elle charms her way into the prestigious Harvard Law school. While there, she struggles in Professor Callahan’s (Ed Staudenmayer) classroom and rivals with fellow peer Vivienne Kensington (Anna Mintzer). With the support of teacher assistant Emmett Forrest (Michael Thomas Grant) and salon friend Pauline (Anthea Neri Best), Elle finally realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. Suited up and packed to the brim with memorable songs and dynamic dances – this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

“Legally Blonde: The Musical” is a fashionably guilty pleasure from head to toe. Phenomenal vocals and spirited choreography are overwhelming evidence of exquisite casting. The audience finds “Legally Blonde: The Musical” in contempt of cheerful joy and excessive use of the color pink.

Pink, not just a color, it’s an expression of self-esteem and confidence. Empowerment of identity and self-worth. It’s been a while since I’ve viewed the movie, thankfully this musical is a reminder how precious we all are to ourselves and can express ourselves the way we want regardless of how others judge based on appearances and loathing. This timeless message of strength and courage has transcended generations and continues to pass along. Where many musicals would end act one with a despairing cliffhanger, “Legally Blonde: The Musical” ends with Elle meeting her goals so audiences will come back to see her abilities and accomplishment come into play.

Also in most second act musicals, many loose ends seem to get neatly wrapped. Here, Elle encounters unexpected obstacles, able to apply her fashion knowledge in the courtroom, and understands her self more. A feel-good musical better than I would have expected. As much heart as there is of the color pink. A faithful movie to musical adaptation that is arguably better than the original source material.

The Sorority house designed like a life size Barbie dream house is inspiring. Almost as much as the Sorority ladies dual roles as a Greek chorus. And yes, Bruiser the dog does indeed make several appearances throughout the show! You can even read his bio in the program.

Disney+ has announced that an all-new episode of “The Simpsons” is now streaming exclusively on the streaming service. The full-length episode, titled “Yellow Planet,” is the latest exclusive episode of “The Simpsons” to debut on Disney+ this season, joining previous installments “The Past and the Furious,” and “O C’mon All Ye Faithful.”

In “Yellow Planet,” The Simpsons are reimagined as animals in a National Geographic-style nature mockumentary. Homer and Marge navigate the ocean as whales from different series, Bart hatches as an iguana struggling to survive, and Lisa leads her flock as a finch. Along the way, familiar Springfield faces appear in unexpected roles, shaping their journeys in the wild.

Disney Unveils First Trailer for Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires

Disney has released the first official sneak peek at “ZOMBIES 4: Dawn of the Vampires,” the latest installment of the music-fueled, smash-hit “ZOMBIES” franchise. The teaser reunites fan favorites Milo Manheim and Meg Donnelly as beloved zombie-cheerleader power couple Zed and Addison while introducing Freya Skye and Malachi Barton as the latest supernatural arrivals: Nova, a fierce Daywalker, and Victor, a proud Vampire. The Disney Channel Original Movie premieres Thursday, July 10, at 7:00 p.m. EDT/PDT on Disney Channel and will stream globally the next day, Friday, July 11, on Disney+. It will also be available on Disney Channel On Demand.

In the first three “ZOMBIES” movies, Zed and Addison brought human and monsterkind together in their hometown of Seabrook. Now, a new adventure dawns for the duo when their summer road trip takes an unexpected detour, landing them in the middle of yet another monster rivalry: Daywalkers vs. Vampires. Tensions flare when Zed and Addison find themselves acting as camp counselors between the two opposing supernatural factions. With the help of Eliza and Willa, they must convince sworn enemies Nova and Victor to try to unite their warring worlds before an even greater threat endangers them all.

Spring Fun at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino

It’s called Fantasy Springs Resort for good reason. It sits in the middle of the Palm Springs desert like a giant oasis, welcoming travelers with flowing fountains, swaying palm trees, a sparkling pool, a luxurious hotel, and an award-winning casino with a world-class entertainment center.

The family and I recently snuck away to Fantasy Springs (https://www.fantasyspringsresort.com/) for two nights and three days of fun and relaxation.

Our getaway began when we checked into a comfortable room with giant windows, overlooking the large pool area and the beautiful desert landscape beyond. Boasting two queen beds, a large bathroom, mini-fridge, coffee maker, big screen TV, and a work station desk, the room had everything we needed for our home base.

When not in the room, admiring the desert views, we were having fun around the property. Our favorite spot was the pool deck, where we swam and lounged, and relaxed in the Jacuzzi.

For food, we discovered numerous options at the resort. There was gourmet steaks and fresh seafood at Bistro, bold modern Asian cuisine at Joy, sumptuous pizza at Pizza Kitchen, endless plates the all-you-can-eat Fresh Grill Buffet, exciting California cuisine at POM, and more.

We decided upon POM, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner. Our meal began with a chilled shrimp cocktail, with large, fresh shrimp in cocktail sauce, grain mastard-horseradish aioli, and rainbow micro greens. For our main course we devoured a succulent filet mignon, with garlic whipped potatoes, tobacco onions and burgundy demi-glace; and pan asian salmon, with sesame-soy glaze, stir fried vegetables, crispy noodles and steamed jasmine rice.

The kids ate a burger and fries and chicken strips and milk on the side. For dessert we all split a skillet chocolate-chip cookie à la mode, topped with vanilla ice cream; and a pineapple-coconut cheese cake with a sour cream top, graham cracker bottom, pineapple relish and vanilla anglaise.

After dinner, we watched a movie in the room and the kids went to bed. I then snuck out to play some slots and a few hands of poker in the casino. The casino features 1,800 of the hottest slots, table games, bingo action, and off-track betting in the Coachella Valley.

The next morning I worked out at the fitness center and then we returned to POM for a wonderful breakfast. I enjoyed juevos rancheros, with fried eggs set atop crunchy corn tortillas with refried beans, cheese sour cream, guacamole and ranchero sauce. We also had delightful buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, and a plate of banana bread French toast, with bananas, strawberries, walnuts and whipped cream.

After breakfast, we drove a couple miles to Civic Center Park in nearby Palm Desert (https://www.myrecreationdistrict.com/park/palm-desert-civic-center-park). Here we found 70 acres of fun, with a large lake full of ducks and swans looking for a snack, fun playgrounds for the kids, modern art scattered about, benches and barbecues, lots of walking trails and more.

Back at Fantasy Springs Resort we found more excitement at the Fantasy Lanes Bowling Center and Arcade, where we bowled a few frames and the kids played an assortment of fun video games. We then walked next door for lunch at Lique, an old fashioned ice cream parlor with old school ice cream flavors in a hip, sexy environment.

For lunch we had fish and chips and a couple carne asada tacos. For a treat, we then split an old-fashioned Lique-Ity Split banana split with banana, vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream, hot fudge, mixed nuts, crushed pineapple and strawberry topping.

After lunch we returned to our favorite spot next to the pool, where we swam, lounged and relaxed in the Jacuzzi.

Besides luxury hotel rooms, great restaurants, a fun pool area, and exciting gambling, Fantasy Springs also boasts the award-winning Clive Clark-designed Eagle Falls Golf Course, a gorgeous course set against the Santa Rosa and Chocolate Mountains.

Raging Waters Los Angeles, California’s Largest Water Park, is opening the 2025 summer season on Saturday, May 17, with even more new offerings than last year to enhance the guest experience providing the most chill water park experience on the West Coast. Starting opening day guests can visit the brand-new Señor Solis, a fresh take on Mexican cuisine, offering a robust menu of flavorful options including tacos, burritos, and bowls.

The park has also continued its massive park-wide enhancement project, which launched in 2024, to improve the guest experience with new lockers, more shading, all-new eco-conscious and water-saving turf and MORE for this summer season.

Okay, foodies, listen up! HUGE news for the Long Beach dining scene! Sosogu Sushi & Japanese BBQ is now open in its absolutely stunning flagship location at 3860 Worsham Ave #300, right in the middle of the happening LBX Long Beach Exchange.

Now, if the name Sosogu sounds familiar, it might be because of its acclaimed spot in Redlands, founded back in 2022. Get this – one of the co-founders is Tobias Miller, yes, the former guitarist from The Wallflowers, who teamed up with hospitality expert Richard Gottlieb. This new Long Beach location takes everything amazing about the original and dials it up – we’re talking seriously premium Japanese eats, seafood sourced with incredible care, and a full bar that’s going to blow you away. This is poised to be the new benchmark for modern Japanese dining in the area.

At Sosogu, it’s all about purity and letting amazing ingredients shine. Prepare your taste buds for premium Japanese BBQ sets featuring that melt-in-your-mouth A5 Japanese Wagyu, American Wagyu, and other specialty cuts you won’t want to miss. Taking over the former Plancha Latin Kitchen space in the upscale LBX district, Sosogu Long Beach looks incredible – sleek and modern, but with beautiful traditional Japanese touches.
