This CES, iHome is showing folks how to give their home a PhD in automation with the introduction of its iHome Control line of smart home products. Its first offering, the iSP5 SmartPlug, features Apple HomeKit technology. iHome Control: Intelligent Home Solutions
The first of several planned products, iHome Control’s new iSP5 SmartPlug is a Wi-Fi enabled wall plug that lets you control any connected device – lights, fans, home entertainment systems – while at home or remotely via the free iHome Control App for iOS & Android. No need for an expensive hub, simply connect to a local Wi-Fi connection and it is ready to go.
Apple HomeKit technology even lets you control your iSP5 SmartPlug with your voice using Siri directly from an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. You can group several SmartPlugs into individual scenes to control all connected devices within your home, office or business, and automatically turn off multiple lamps plunged into your iSP5 SmartPlug, lock your doors, close the garage door, and set the thermostat to the desired temperature, all with one command.
