It’s one of the most beloved holiday traditions at the Disneyland Resort, and it’s back: the hand-pulled candy canes. First enjoyed by park guests back in 1968, these 18-inch peppermint treats are made fresh each morning in limited batches — and they sell out every single time. This year’s dates are now posted on signage at the candy shops, and we’ve got the full schedule.

We covered these beauties back in 2023, but the story never gets old. Every candy cane is hand-crafted during the holiday season from large batches made in-house, then meticulously hand-pulled, rolled, and twisted into the classic candy cane shape. You can even watch the candy makers at work through the windows at both Candy Palace in Disneyland and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure. The Disney Parks Blog once called them “infamous” — and honestly, that’s fair.

How to Get One

  • Wristbands only — distributed first-come, first-served on release dates. No mobile order, no mobile waitlist.
  • Limit 1 per guest per day. Your whole party must be present — no holding spots.
  • No discounts apply, and all sales are final (no exchanges or refunds).
  • Arrive early. Plan to be at the park at least an hour before opening, then head straight to Candy Palace or Trolley Treats. The wristbands go fast.
  • Quantities are extremely limited each day and subject to change without notice.

The candy cane dates land right in the middle of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort season, which runs November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027. If a hand-pulled candy cane is on your holiday must-do list, pick your date and set that alarm — we’ll see you in the wristband line.
