The holiday magic began at Knott’s Merry Farm in a very special way this past Friday, as Knott’s welcomed 15 chapters of the Boys and Girls Club of Orange County to take part in the park’s official kick off of the holiday season.

The night began with special performances by Knott’s own Chaple Bell Choir, followed shortly by a dance number featuring Santa Snoopy and the rest of the Peanuts gang. The crowd all gathered around Calico Square, underneath the famed Calico Christmas tree. As everyone was preparing for the tree lighting ceremony, the children were surprised by a visit from Santa Claus, who provided a very special gift, allowing two children from the Boys and Girls club to take part in the ceremony.
After giving them a magical ornament, filled with the light of Christmas, Santa, Snoopy, and the entire crowd experienced the tree wash over in bright lights, with snow falling shortly after from above. It was a special tribute to the community and children, ringing in the new holiday season in the most sincere way possible.
