Originally released on October 20, 2006, “The Prestige” stars Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale as rival magicians in Victorian-era London whose obsession with outdoing each other turns dangerous. The film also features Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine, Rebecca Hall, and David Bowie as Nikola Tesla. It earned two Academy Award nominations, for Best Cinematography and Best Art Direction, and has only grown in reputation since — regularly landing on lists of the best films of the 2000s.
