Aladdin Comes to the El Capitan Theatre

From May 23rd to June 16th, Disney’s legendary movie house, The El Capitan Theatre, is bringing a whole new world of possibilities to Disney fans with their special engagement of Disney’s Aladdin.

Here’s your chance to make a wish, find the Magic Lamp, and go on a magic carpet ride through the mysterious Cave of Wonders. In El Capitan Theatre tradition, guests will also get an up close look at the costumes from the film. There’s really nothing quite like it anywhere else!

“The whole family is in for a magical time with our special engagement of Disney’s Aladdin,” said Ed Collins, General Manager of The El Capitan Theatre.  “Guests will be transported to the Cave of Wonders the moment they step into The El Capitan Theatre, and will be able to step up to the Magic Lamp – make a wish and try rubbing it to see if wishes really do come true! Before each movie, guests will be delighted as they step onto the stage for a very special Magic Carpet photo op.  To add to the fun, Guests can also view and admire costumes from the film before and after every screening. There’s just no better place than The El Capitan Theatre to fully experience the wonders of Disney’s Aladdin.”

El Capitan Theatre guests will also get the opportunity to be among the first to see the movie with an opening night fan event screening. The fun begins on Thursday, May 23rd at 5PM. The fan event will provide a special 3D screening that includes a digital download for the film’s soundtrack, reserved seat, souvenir popcorn bucket, and a 20 oz bottled drink. Event tickets are priced at $30 and will sale out fast. Don’t miss out!

After opening night, the magic continues, with showtimes going from May 23rd through June 16th daily (10:00 AM, 1:20PM, 4:40PM, 8:00PM. Friday and Saturday showings are extended, providing a late 11:20PM showing. Group rates will be made available, $10 for parties of 20 or more. Though that’s not all. Treat your diamond in the rough to a “Birthday in Your Seat” spectacular.  For one low price of  $25.00 per person enjoy a Reserved Seat Party, or for $35.00 per person enjoy a VIP Seat Party including VIP popcorn & 20 oz. bottled drink which will be served by Birthday Host(s) to Guests once Guests take their seats.

Each ticket type includes all listed above plus: Guests will meet Birthday Host(s) upon arrival, Guests will be taken to Costume Display and then to Reserved Seats in theatre, Birthday Host(s) will provide In-Seat Concession Service until lights go down and program starts, Birthday Host(s) will serve Ghirardelli Birthday Sundae to each Guest in their seat, and a Birthday shout out will be given in your honor before the show!

If you plan on spending time at the Hard Rock Cafe, package deals are also available to make the most out of your trip. $40 per person gives you a reserved seat to see the film and a meal at Hard Rock Cafe that include one entree from a special menu at the time of their seating. Lastly, it wouldn’t be The El Capitan Theatre without Tiny Tot Tuesday. Every first show on Tuesdays will include a specially tot friendly screening, with dimmed lighting and reduced sound levels.
