The magic and excitement of D23 is just around the corner, as Disney has lifted the curtain to reveal more details about next year’s expo including ticket prices, sale dates, and special guests. Tickets for the “Ultimate Disney Fan Event” go on sale Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 The convention will also move back to the month of August, returning to the Anaheim Convention Center from August 23rd to August 25th.
Discounted single day and multi day tickets will be available for D23 Gold Members. For those who purchase their tickets between August 23rd to November 20th, a special “Early Bird” discount will be added in addition to the member discount. Here’s a preliminary breakdown of the ticket prices that will be available once tickets go on sale.
General Admission
- $89 Single Day Adult Ticket
- $69 Single Day Child Ticket
D23 Gold Member pricing will be available once tickets go on sale, but D23 has shared that there will be savings up to $288 pending on what ticket is purchased during the “Early Bird” period. All expo ticket holders will also get the opportunity to take part in special discounted rates for Disneyland Resort Hotels as well as Disneyland park tickets.
For those wanting the VIP experience, a limited quantity of VIP Sorcerer Packages will be made available for D23 Gold and Gold Family Members, costing $2500. The package includes a 3 Day Ticket, commemorative Sorcerer credential, reserved seating, special preview day and tour of the show floor, a Haunted Mansion themed welcome reception, D23 Expo Gift pack, advance shopping opportunities, and much more. There will be a two ticket limitation for all Gold Members to ensure everyone has an opportunity to join in the Sorcerer experience. The fan favorite, Mousequerade Costume Contest, will return with special judges Ashley Eckstein and Yvette Nicole Brown. Other favorites will also be making a triumphant comeback, including the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, who recently inducted the likes of Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Stan Lee, and Oprah Winfrey. Many more surprises will follow as we get closer to the event dates.
The Walt Disney Archives will host an all new exhibit, Talent Central will give fans the opportunity to meet with their favorite Disney Stars from past and present, and special guests of honor will lead the daily parade on the main show floor.
Last, but definitely not least, the D23 Expo 2019 Design Challenge will be themed to the iconic Haunted Mansion, which is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary next year. Fans are encouraged to bring out their spookiest designs. It will be a great opportunity to show their best work with various art that include paintings, models, sculptures, and more. 23 pieces will be selected to be placed on display throughout the expo. The winning artist will be chosen prior to the start of the expo, receiving a cash prize of $2,300. Updates are sure to come in the coming months.
