Today will be a day long remembered, as Mark Hamill received the honor of his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today in front of the famous, El Capitan Theatre. Alongside him were his wife, dog, close friends and costars that include Harrison Ford, Billie Lourd, and Kelly Marie Tran. A large crowd of fans and admirers were also there to show their love and support during the actor’s special ceremony.
His star marks the 2,630th star graced onto the path of legendary actors, actresses, and cultural icons that stretches through the glitz and glam of Hollywood. Star Wars creator, George Lucas gave a touching tribute to the actor, reminding us all of his humble beginnings and that look off into the Binary Sunset.
Mark Hamill is best known as the legendary Luke Skywalker from the Star Wars saga. He has been connected to the character since his debut in 1977 and has become one of the most beloved and recognized actors of our generation. Since those first steps, Hamill has graced the silver screen as Luke, sent chills down our spine as the voice of The Joker in Batman the Animated Series, and has 308 acting and voice over credits to his name.
His latest journey in the Star Wars universe, Star Wars: The Last Jedi comes home digitally in HD and 4K Ultra HD™ and via Movies Anywhere on March 13 and 4K Ultra HD™ Blu-ray, and Blu-ray™ disc on March 27th.
