If seeing these cute bunnies and carrots aren’t enough, make sure to visit Old MacDonald’s Farm where you can cuddle up with adorable creatures like sheep, miniature donkeys, horses, and more. Each and every one of them will be happy to see you pay a visit!
Just around the corner, guests will also get a chance to see the hilarious melodrama, Riverboat Revenge, now playing daily at the historic Birdcage Theatre. Be ready to laugh, holler, and cheer as dashing heroes and dastardly villains unravel a delightfully fun and interactive show filled with mystery, romance, boat races, and “explosive” surprises!
This was an absolute delight and something we can’t wait to see again. Make sure to get there early, as River Boat Revenge fills up fast and is first come first serve. You definitely don’t want to miss out on this one!
Though, we saved the best for last, as the crown jewel of Knott’s Boysenberry entertainment has to be their brand new spectacular, Knott’s Preserved, which takes you on a beautiful musical journey throughout the eras starting from the earliest days of Calico to the sunny beaches of Long Beach in the 1920s. This musical extravaganza is full of heart and steals the show in every possible way.
Knott’s Preserved dives into the soul of the park, bringing guests up close and personal with the road that led to Knott’s founding by Walter and Cordelia Knott and ignites a wondrous spark that highlights their profound legacy in such a wonderful way. It really reminds us all, the very first theme park began with just a berry and a dream!

New Character Greetings Debuting Soon
Let’s start with one of the most magical moments: meeting Disney favorites face-to-face. We recently saw the return of fan-favorite character experiences including Enchanted Tales with Belle, Ariel’s Grotto, and Pete’s Silly Sideshow at Magic Kingdom Park. New friends will make their debut soon.
Just in time for the 25th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Moana will greet fellow voyagers on Discovery Island for the first time, starting April 22.
Later this summer, Guests will get the chance to hug long-time EPCOT icon Figment at the Imagination! pavilion.
And this fall, Mirabel from the Walt Disney Animation Studios hit film “Encanto” will greet Guests in the Fairytale Garden at Magic Kingdom, which will be transformed with whimsical décor inspired by La Familia Madrigal.
EPCOT Transformation Comes to a Crescendo Later This Year
If you’ve been to EPCOT recently, you’ve likely seen the amazing progress happening around World Celebration and World Nature as part of the park’s multi-year transformation. Well, get ready because it will all be completed later this year!
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana will debut this fall in World Nature. This self-guided exploration trail will take you through the natural water cycle – from the skies to oceans and all the way back again. Just like Moana, Guests are encouraged to become a protector and friends of our natural resources.
When CommuniCore Hall opens in World Celebration later this year, it will be the center of festival programming throughout the park. In new renderings released today, Guests can see this will be home to a new character greeting location called Mickey & Friends. Guests will be able to meet Mickey Mouse and some of his best pals in this colorful space.
CommuniCore Hall will also be the home of a dynamic exhibition space that will transform with each festival throughout the year, as Guests can see here in one possibility imagined for EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. Playing with light, shapes, and reflections, the architecture of this building was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering to celebrate the legacy of EPCOT and the original CommuniCore buildings.
Commemorating Disney100 at Walt Disney World
EPCOT will host the Disney100 celebration at Walt Disney World Resort to commemorate this monumental milestone later this year. As well as all the new attractions and experiences, there will be even more magic.
As we honor the legacy of Disney storytelling and unforgettable characters that have entertained and inspired people of all ages for a century, now is the time to relive those beloved Disney memories and delight in making new memories with friends and family in the theme parks. Enjoy all-new experiences as Disney celebrates this momentous anniversary and the culmination of the EPCOT transformation – from meeting Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in their platinum attire to snapping a selfie with a platinum sculpture of the one who started it all and watching Spaceship Earth illuminate the evenings with a special lighting design.
Plus, a new nighttime spectacular will debut at EPCOT later this year, inviting everyone to gather around World Showcase Lagoon for a show that will unite us through commonalities of the heart in a dazzling display of fireworks, lasers, music, and light. Featuring an original composition along with select songs from the Disney songbook, this new spectacular will remind us that we’re more alike than different, connecting our hearts together as one.
Celebrating 25 Years of Innovation & Conservation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park
Disney’s Animal Kingdom is celebrating 25 years of magic next month on Earth Day! Since it opened on April 22, 1998, this one-of-a-kind theme park has offered awe-inspiring animal encounters, thrilling attractions, and larger-than-life musical stage shows. Since 1995, with support from The Walt Disney Company and guests, the Disney Conservation Fund has directed $120 million to support nonprofit organizations working with communities to save wildlife, inspire action and protect the planet. Additionally, the Disney Conservation team leads best-in-class scientific programs to conserve wildlife in Disney’s backyard and beyond, connects people to build a network for nature, and cares for the planet through everyday actions.
In April, there will be new ways to join in the celebration of Earth Day and this milestone, including new sweet and savory treats, specialty merchandise, and limited-time character sightings in the park. There will be more surprises on April 22, when the park officially turns 25.
Summer House on the Lake Opens Later This Year at Disney Springs
A stunning new restaurant will open at Disney Springs in late 2023. Summer House on the Lake embodies a breezy, beach house vibe that will pair perfectly with the sweeping views of Lake Buena Vista.
Guests will be able to enjoy a California-inspired menu featuring simple, sustainable ingredients – from pizza and pasta to fresh salads and sandwiches. Plus, Guests can savor the restaurant’s exclusive Summer House Rosé along with a selection of wine, beer, handcrafted cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks. Just imagine sipping a favorite drink on one of three expansive outdoor patios with a lake view. Corkcicle Opening First-Ever Retail Location at Disney Springs
Just announced, Corkcicle is coming to Disney Springs! A local Orlando business, Corkcicle creates innovative, obsession-worthy, high-performing insulated drinkware, coolers, and accessories in a variety of gorgeous colors that elevate every sip and bring delight to everyday moments. This kiosk will be Corkcicle’s first-ever retail location and will open later this spring.
Tiara-topped Water Tower Coming Soon to Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom
Construction on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure continues to take shape, and later this summer, a tiara-topped water tower emblazoned with the Tiana’s Foods logo will make its way to Magic Kingdom.
Disney Parks guests will get to experience Princess Tiana’s story like never before following the attraction’s debut at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort in 2024, and what a party it will be! The story will pick up where the film left off as guests join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure down the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, Guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Launches April 4, 2023
You may have heard that one of the fastest coasters at any Disney park is launching soon in Magic Kingdom. Starting April 4, Guests will be able to race across the Grid in TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise. As members of Team Blue, this will be the chance to board a high-speed Lightcycle and compete against a fierce group of Programs known as Team Orange
Merchandise fans can gear up for the Grid with racing-inspired apparel, collectible pins, must-have toys, and light-up accessories inspired by the TRON films and the attraction itself.
Millions of viewers know now why loyal gamers have been clamoring for a worthy adaptation of The Last of Us. Based on the famed video game of the same name, the HBO original drama series marked HBO’s second-largest debut, behind only “House of the Dragon,” and has shown consistent growth throughout its first season culminating in a 75% increase in Sunday night’s finale audience. TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise, this new attraction officially opens at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort on April 4, 2023. Check out a first look at the new merchandise.
Users who venture into the Grid will find three merchandise collections, related to the attraction experience, the film “TRON: Legacy” or the nostalgia around this digital world first introduced in 1982 with the release of the original “TRON.”
“There are generations of guests now visiting Walt Disney World who grew up playing the TRON video games and imagining their bicycles were Lightcycles,” explained Taryn Johnson, Senior Manager for Brand Merchandising with Global Product Creation. “These collections have a dash of 1980s nostalgia mixed with incredibly fun items that continue the thrills of this new Tomorrowland attraction at home.”
One of the favorite collections is “Back to the Arcade,” which captures a slice of the early 1980s arcade scene complete with nods to Flynn’s Arcade from the original film. Elements from video game cabinets were turned into backpacks and illuminated wall signs. The tumbler even includes vintage Lightcycles that race around a domed top.
Lightcycles are fast two-wheeled vehicles on the Grid, akin to motorcycles in the “real” world. This was the jumping-off point for the “Thrill of the Race” collection which contains racing-inspired apparel for adults and kids.
The team even created a light-up replica of Sam Flynn’s helmet as seen in “TRON: Legacy” using the original costume piece as a reference. This helmet is the perfect finishing touch to my own “TRON: Legacy” costume. A separate decorative helmet bag is an excellent carrying case for this or any other racing helmet.
For those that want to continue racing Lightcycles after visiting the Grid, check out the TRON Lightcycle Handlebars. This interactive toy contains lights and sound effects from TRON and can turn into an interactive game for up to four players.
Life on the Grid is replicated with a third merchandise collection inspired by the clean design language of this digital world. Adults will find light-up jackets and other accessories like a backpack that holds a new interactive Identity Disc that doubles as an audio speaker.
One of the most impressive parts of this collection is the TRON Identity Program, an all-new retail experience. It offers guests a customizable “Program” action figure and identity chip that can be used to “re-program” other merchandise such as the interactive Identity Discs and Remote Control Lightcycles.
When TRON Lightcycle / Run opens on April 4, guests will find these products and more in a specially designed pop-up shop area directly across from the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor entrance in Tomorrowland.
For those with a reservation for the TRON Identity Program, please visit Tomorrowland Launch Depot for the experience. It’s the merchandise shop located between the entrances to TRON Lightcycle / Run and Space Mountain.
Guests will also be able to use Merchandise Mobile Checkout via the My Disney Experience app when purchasing items at select locations. It’s easy to use and saves time as you scan items as you shop and pay from your phone.
The trailer and poster for Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” the live-action reimagining of the studio’s animated musical classic, are here! Two of the film’s stars, Halle Bailey and Melissa McCarthy, debuted the trailer on ABC’s live broadcast of the 95th Annual Academy Awards. “The Little Mermaid,” helmed by visionary filmmaker Rob Marshall, opens exclusively in theaters nationwide on May 26, 2023.

Disney+ has revealed the May 24 premiere date for the Disney+ Original series “American Born Chinese,” in a newly-released:30 TV spot that will air during tonight’s Oscars telecast’s commercial breaks. This:30 first (watch it below) look at the genre-hopping action-comedy from Disney Branded Television series produced by 20th Television celebrates the show’s three Oscar nominees: Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and guest star Stephanie Hsu.
Based on the graphic novel of the same name by Gene Luen Yang, “American Born Chinese” tells the story of Jin Wang, an average teenager juggling his high school social life with his home life. When he meets a new foreign student on the first day of the school year, even more worlds collide as Jin is unwittingly entangled in a battle of Chinese mythological gods.
The coming-of-age adventure features an international all-star cast, including Academy® Award-Nominees and Golden Globe winners Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”), Ben Wang (“Chang Can Dunk”), two-time International Emmy Award nominee Yeo Yann Yann (“Wet Season”), Chin Han (“Mortal Kombat”), Daniel Wu (“Reminiscence”), former Taekwondo champion Jimmy Liu and Sydney Taylor (“Just Add Magic”). A once-forgotten piece of Disney history has just been uncovered, unlocking a new, never-before-seen look at the earliest days of Disneyland Park, and more importantly, a special glimpse of the man who began the magic: Walt Disney himself. With this year marking the milestone 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company, what better way to commemorate this momentous moment in history than getting a chance to revisit some of Walt’s special memories at the Happiest Place on Earth.
The reel, recently uncovered by a local Orange County couple, is part of a larger auction of rare vintage Disney memorabilia, hosted by Heritage Auctions. The details of the auction, recently shared by local news agency, KTLA, showcase the lost footage along with other highly sought after pieces of significance, such as a Main Street bench, concept art, blueprints, and a cabin from one of Disneyland’s earliest monorails.
The reel contains over 5 minutes of colorized footage, featuring moments of Walt Disney and his band of Mouseketeers welcoming the “Snow White Bus” to Disneyland Park in 1955, unlocking some of the world’s first looks at what looks like a long-forgotten ceremony, christening the very first Disneyland Express bus line from Los Angeles to Anaheim.
The “Snow White Bus” would help usher in a new era of public transportation, welcoming travelers of all ages to Walt Disney’s new theme park and acting as the founding of a fleet that is still in existence today through the LA Metro Line, operating daily out of Los Angeles to the very gates of Disneyland off of Harbor Blvd in Anaheim.
Directly from Disneyland’s own transit information page, guests can still board the Disneyland Express bus line through the LA Metro Line 460, which operates northbound on Figueroa St. and eastbound on 6th St., westbound on 5th St. and southbound on Flower St, enters and exits the I-110 (Harbor Transitway) at Adams Blvd. It then runs along the I-110 and I-105 to the Norwalk Green Line Station, making stops at 37th St., Slauson, and Manchester Stations.
It all connects to a truly incredible moment in Walt Disney’s story that adds to an already impressive history, giving a newfound appreciation for the La Metro, and creating a magical echo of the past through Line 460.
The reel will be on public display for the first time, along with other items from the auction’s catalog at the Beverly Hills Auction House from March 20th through 24th from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Uniquely Designed, Sustainably Developed
When guests arrive at Lighthouse Point, they’ll be greeted by distinctive, sweeping architecture in bright, saturated hues — a bold style inspired by nature and created in partnership with local artists.
The curvilinear buildings will at first appear as Bahamian shells scattered along the shoreline. Upon closer inspection, guests will discover artistic expressions of the native flora and fauna of The Bahamas and the pageantry and history of Junkanoo parades. Throughout the destination, references to playful folklore characters will evoke the warmth and charm of the local culture.
Respect for the environment is at the heart of the design. At least 90 percent of the destination’s electricity needs will be met by an onsite solar array, the pier was designed to avoid the need for dredging and elevated walkways will help limit the impact on the landscape.
Visitors to Lighthouse Point will have the opportunity to be surrounded by the wonders of nature and get a glimpse into the efforts taking place to conserve wildlife and their unique island habitats.
Fun and Relaxation for Everyone
At Lighthouse Point, families will enjoy a day of fun in the sun as they relax on pristine beaches, embark on active adventures and discover the magic of Bahamian storytelling alongside their favorite Disney characters. Much like Disney’s cruise ships and the private island of Castaway Cay, Lighthouse Point will offer activities and areas for every age group.
Families can relax and play along white sandy beaches and turquoise waters at the expansive family beach on the east side of the island, which will be centrally located near market-style dining, recreation, and other amenities.
A Bahamian art and culture pavilion featuring special programs and local artists will provide visitors to Lighthouse Point opportunities to learn and celebrate the traditions and natural beauty of The Bahamas.
A brightly-colored, interactive family water play area will include two slides, water drums, fountains, and more, along with a dedicated space for toddlers.
North of the family area will be an adult-exclusive beach — a glorious stretch of sun-drenched serenity complete with a dedicated dining area for convenient access to food and drinks throughout the day, plus six private cabanas available by reservation.
Children ages 3 to 12 will splash and play at a themed kids’ club under the care of highly-trained Disney Cruise Line counselors. It will include a splash pad inspired by favorite undersea creatures from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “The Little Mermaid,” plenty of shade, and a dedicated dining area.
Set away from the activity of the main family area, a peaceful beach along the southwestern shore will be lined with 20 premium family cabanas available to rent, including four double cabanas that accommodate larger groups and offer massage services.
Additional recreational activities will be available for kids and kids-at-heart, including a covered gaming pavilion; a volleyball court and gaga ball pit; watercraft and bicycle rentals; nature trails for hiking and biking; and more. And a collection of new Port Adventures developed in partnership with local tour operators will take guests beyond Lighthouse Point to explore the rich culture and breathtaking beauty of Eleuthera.
