Universal Studios Hollywood is introducing a game changing experience just in time for the grand debut of Jurassic World- The Ride with the reveal of the all new Jurassic Cafe and Isla Nu-Bar. Both experiences tie directly into the new attraction opening this summer, each with exclusively themed food and drink. The Jurassic Outfitters store will also feature limited edition merchandise celebrating the ride’s big debut.
Universal’s new bar experience may draw the most attention, as it definitely looks to not only complete the Jurassic expansion, but complete directly with the newly open, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort. Experience driven entertainment, attractions, and offerings are driving the industry, and taking a page from the success of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Isla Nu-Bar is sure to be a smash with Universal fans everywhere.
Each drink is served with a Costa Rican flair, presented in one of three collectible cups: Etched Tiki, Bamboo-styled Tiki and Tiki God.
The beverages currently on the menu are as follows: Tropical Margarita, Piña Colada and Painkiller, along with island cocktails such as Tiki Tai, Bird of Paradise, Ti Peach, Rum Runner and Mai Tai. Though, Universal didn’t forget the dining experience, as they are bringing in a whole new menu to go along for the ride.
Take a look at what’s coming! Meal options include Sweet Corn Cakes with Slow Roasted Mojo Pork or Spicy Mojo Jackfruit, Citrus Glazed Chicken, Fresh Roasted Red Snapper and Isla Burger. Tempting starters include savory Chorizo and Potato Empanadas, Crispy Lettuce Leaf Roll with Shrimp, Tropical Fruit Salad and Pomegranate Guacamole with plantain chips. All entrees will be accompanied by fresh green papaya salad and Costa Rica’s national dish, Gallo Pinto – traditional rice and beans.
To wrap things up, The Jurassic Outfitters store will be bringing a variety of exclusive opening merchandise, including t-shirts, hats, drinkware, pins, amber stones, jewelry, and keepsake items. The store will also carry a variety of custom, high end dinosaur sculptures and maquettes. Fans will be able to take home their own Tyrannosaurus rex, Velociraptor, Dilophosaurus, Styracosaurus, Pachycephalosaurus and Triceratops with prices ranging up to $1,000.
It’s all part of a greater celebration as Jurassic World-The Ride nears its grand debut, featuring a brand new story line and never before seen updates that will launch the classic Jurassic Park attraction into a new era. The attraction will feature the stars of the Jurassic World films Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, and BD Wong. Together with the help of Universal Creative, ILM and Lucasfilm, as well as acclaimed filmmakers Steven Spielberg, Colin Trevorrow and Frank Marshall, Universal Studios Hollywood is leading the way to an explosive summer.
