Hail to the King, baby! Ash of the “Evil Dead” movie franchise is back in action as musical stage gore-glory! Any horror movie fan familiar with five college students taking a rambunctious trip to a cabin in the woods containing a Book of the Dead to summon demonic spirits partaking in a fight for the ultimate survival until sunrise… will gleefully love and be delighted by this madcap musical twist.

Everything you could ever want in a high-energy horror comedy musical is all here. From crude adult humor, bountiful profanity, severed body parts, infectious choreography, burrowing earworms, and spewing blood, “Evil Dead: The Musical” delivers not-to-be-missed uproarious calamity.

Spring break will never be the same with this halfway-to-Halloween treat. We certainly hope this show becomes an annual tradition amongst the theater’s seat-filling lineup comfortably alongside the audience’s favorite stage play of “Night of the Living Dead”. The two-act Staged Cinema Productions rock musical stars Steven Alcantar as uncanny “Ash”, Hailey Tweter as undeniable “Shelly/Annie”, Jaycob Hunter as unmistakable “Scott/Jake”, Samantha Green as unsettling “Cheryl”, Elana Harnack as un profound “Linda”, Aizaiah T. Soto as unquestionable “Ed”, and Alex Wesevich as unseen “Shemp/Blood Soaker”. Music by Christopher Bond, Frank Cipolla, Melissa Morris, and George Reinblatt. Lyrics and book by George Reinblatt. Produced and directed by Brian Newell.

The locally popular Southern California community theater in Fullerton captures the evil spiritual mayhem in spectacular fashion with witty humor, provocative stamina, outrageous vocals, and even a splatter-zone! For an extra fee, theater patrons can book front row seats, wear all white t-shirts, and be blood soaked from the gut-wrenching insanity.

Plenty of food and drink options are in nearby walking distance to Downtown Fullerton. For a more bloody good-time, we recommend The Axe Lair for axe-throwing practice before targeting undead spirits. More information can be found at www.theaxelair.com.
