Winchester Mystery House has announced two brand-new eerie events that will take place this spring, Paranormal Investigation with TAPS West Coast and Halfway to Halloween Flashlight Tours.

Experience a historic first as the Winchester Mystery House opens its doors to the public for an exclusive Paranormal Investigation within its darkened halls. With decades of speculation and stories of spirits lingering around every corner and corridor, we invite you to explore the world of the unexplained. Adopting a skeptical and evidence-based approach to investigating the paranormal join TAPS West Coast, seasoned investigators featured on TV Shows such as “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Brothers,” on a 2-hour hands-on search for evidence of the paranormal.
During the investigation, each guest will visit paranormal hot spots in small groups, armed with personal take-home EMF readers. Your adventure doesn’t end when the lights come on, as each investigation will be video and audio-documented. On Friday and Saturday evenings from April 26, 2024 through May 4, 2024, Winchester Mystery House will present Halfway to Halloween Flashlight Tours. The self-guided tours allow guests to roam through the halls of the purportedly haunted Victorian mansion with nothing but a flashlight while hearing tales of its former and (possibly current!) inhabitants. Guests will guide themselves through the mansion that is famous for its dizzying floorplan and lack of formal blueprints. Tour Hosts will be stationed throughout the house to ensure guests don’t get lost. The annual Boysenberry Festival inspired by the little berry that started it all opens March 8, and just steps away, the Knott’s Hotel debuts its multimillion-dollar transformation, a new distinctive farmhouse-style overnight experience inspired by park founders Walter and Cordelia Knott. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in more than 75 recipes at this year’s festival, ranging from savory to sweet; each food and drink item has a unique boysenberry twist that can only be found during this season.
The Boysenberry on top includes a full lineup of shows, live music, and a wide selection of local crafters and artisans for guests of all ages to enjoy. Knott’s Boysenberry Festival operates daily through April 7 and Friday through Sunday, April 12 – 28.

This year’s event will feature a blend of entirely new menu offerings and the return of fan favorites. Discover some truly inventive and original savory creations, including this year’s chicken tikka marsala with boysenberry curry sauce and pork loin slices over mashed potatoes with a creamy boysenberry mustard sauce.

Knott’s Boysenberry Festival also comes with endless entertainment throughout the park. From musical performances to fun interactive games, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Guests are invited to celebrate the heritage of California’s original theme park with the show Knott’s Preserved. Through song, dance, and storytelling, the audience takes a musical journey from the little ghost town of Calico to the Seaside Boardwalk of the Roaring ’20s to commemorate the park’s heritage. All aboard for a boysenberry bon voyage at the legendary Bird Cage Theatre with a special presentation of the comedy melodrama Riverboat Revenge.
Guests are challenged to try their berry best in Boysenberry Fun and Games in Calico Park or head over to Calico Mine Stage for the wildly entertaining Boysenberry Pie Eating Contest. Young ones and the young at heart are invited to cozy up to the cutest critters on the farm, including horses, goats, and other furry friends at Old MacDonald’s Barn, a tribute to one of the farm’s original attractions. Those unfamiliar with the berry that started it all are encouraged to grab a slice of history in the History of the Boysenberry Museum in Town Hall. The happiest quarterback on earth is headed back to The Happiest Place On Earth! Patrick Mahomes just led Kansas City to a historic overtime win in Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas and, like so many great players before him, Mahomes celebrated by shouting “I’M GOING TO DISNEYLAND!” This is the third time the Chiefs’ star quarterback has been featured in the famous commercial.
It was an unforgettable experience, especially for Mahomes who earned his third Super Bowl MVP award after sealing the victory with a game-winning touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman with three seconds left in overtime.
Mahomes continues a long tradition of superstar players celebrating a Super Bowl championship by shouting “I’m Going to Disneyland.” The iconic phrase is the centerpiece of Disney’s famous Super Bowl commercial which started in 1987 and has added a little pixie dust every year to America’s biggest sporting event. You can catch this year’s commercial starring Mahomes airing this week on TV and social media platforms in English and Spanish.
Mahomes’s performance in Super Bowl LVIII was worthy of a magical celebration. Everyone watching the game will no doubt remember the final drive in which he completed all eight of his pass attempts and rushed for two crucial first downs before throwing the history-making touchdown. Fans can help commemorate the Chiefs championship at Disneyland Resort on Monday, February 12, 2024 afternoon.
