Her Universe Releases Star Wars Beauty Collection

Just in time for Star Wars Day, Ashley Eckstein and Her Universe have just debuted a brand new Star Wars Beauty Collection. Inspired by one of the most popular franchises of all time, fangirls can now create their favorite Light Side or Dark Side inspired looks to compliment their latest Her Universe fashions with a whole new beauty line. This collection is a collaboration with Hot Topic and will have a Star Wars inspired eye shadow and highlighter palette named Hyperspace. Lightsaber themed make-up brushes and Lightsaber themed Lip Gloss will be made available soon. There will also be bath bombs, a Dark Side fragrance, and, for those charming scoundrels out there, a Chewbacca Grooming Kit for men.

“When I first launched Her Universe in 2010, I shared with the fans that it was a dream of mine to make Star Wars beauty products,” said Her Universe Founder Ashley Eckstein. “Almost 8 years later, I am finally making good on that promise! Solo: A Star Wars Story Tickets Now On Sale

With Solo: A Star Wars Story only weeks away, tickets have finally gone on sale and are ready for purchase for fans across the galaxy. Here’s a list of some of the available offerings for opening night, as well as some other fun surprises.

AMC Theatres

Fans will get an early showing of the film, collectible poster, dice, button set, and popcorn voucher. Showtime starts at 6PM. Special IMAX posters will be made available for fans who see the film in IMAX on Sunday May 27th and June 3rd.

El Capitan Theatre

The iconic Disney owned theater will be hosting an opening night event including a live DJ, meet and greet with Chewbacca, as well as a costume exhibit and contest.

Regal Theaters

The theater chain will be hosting their own opening night event with collectible offerings and concessions. Regal will also be hosting Solo Saturdays, which will be held on Saturday, May 26 and Saturday, June 2. The first 1000 fans who see the film in IMAX will get a collectible ticket as well as collectible IMAX poster.

Share Your Best Wookie Roar for Star Wars’ #RoarForChange Campaign

Ron Howard, director of the upcoming, Solo: A Star Wars Story, just announced a new campaign for Star Wars’ long going Force for Change charity titled “Roar for Change”. Celebrating one of the film’s biggest stars, Chewbacca, fans are welcome to submit their impressions of his iconic Wookie roar.

For every public post, like, or share on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter that includes #RoarForChange between May 3 – 25, 2018, Star Wars: Force for Change U.S. will donate $1 to UNICEF USA, up to $1 million. This is one of Lucasfilm’s many campaigns in their partnership with UNICEF.

Those attending Disneyland’s special event, Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite on May 3^rd will also be invited to roar during the event. Additionally, the Disney Store will be offering 10 percent off their Star Wars purchases when they roar and post in store locations nationwide from May 4th-6th. To help kick off the event, Chewbacca will be joining fans in San Francisco’s Disney Store, roaring and taking part in the fun.

Founded during the production of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Force for Change has been a staple of the Star Wars community and has made a large impact since its creation. Their official site states that their “goal is to harness the strength of Star Wars and its global fandom to empower people to come together to make a positive impact on the world around them. We want to inspire people to be “forces for change” in their everyday lives.”

Star Wars Meets Arrested Development in New Ron Howard Spoof

With the countdown to Solo: A Star Wars Story in the final weeks, the film’s director, Ron Howard, has provided his signature Arrested Development twist on our favorite galaxy far, far away. Featured on the weekly web series, The Star Wars Show, Howard narrates a would be episode of Arrested Development with the plot of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Check out the hilarious feature below!

The parody wasn’t the only thing Howard revealed this week, as he also had a nice sit down on the web show, going over the latest from Solo and the world of Star Wars.

Ant Man and The Wasp MCU Timeline Revealed

After an record breaking weekend and dominating box office run with Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel Studios has revealed more details about their next release, Ant Man and The Wasp, opening the door to what’s next in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though the teaser and official trailer have debuted, let’s take a look back to get some clues as to what we can expect from Marvel’s upcoming sequel.

Though not directly referenced by the cast of the MCU, the hint leaves the door open that Ant Man and The Wasp takes place around the same time as Infinity War. Tasked with a new and urgent mission, Scott must balance his life of smaller than life heroism with his expectations as a father. That mission, along with Scott’s agreement after the events of Captain America: Civil War, keeps him out of the epic battle against Thanos, but may create more questions as to how the ending of the film will tie into the battle for the universe in Infinity War.

More clues may surface, so we look forward to what’s next! Marvel has also released a new poster, which can be viewed below, that brings Evangeline Lilly front and center.

A First Look at Pixar Pier’s Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats

“Snow Cone?”

Though Pixar Pier is not officially opening until June, The Adorable Snowman wanted to celebrate early, opening his very own ice cream and frozen treat stand this week in Disney California Adventure. Based off the lovable character from Monsters Inc., fans will get the chance to taste and savor some new flavors as well as some former Paradise Pier classics.

The new menu, which can be seen below, has two new signature offerings that are sure to tempt your taste buds. The “It’s Snow-Capped Lemon!” is a nice and simple snack, featuring a white chocolate dipped topping and lemon soft serve. If you want a little more of a tropical kick, the “Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait” is a must try. It is a smooth blend of lemon and blue raspberry. SoCalThrills had a chance to taste the parfait and we highly recommend it!

Another added bonus to the lemon soft serve is that it is non dairy. For those looking for more diverse snack and food options, this is a sweet addition. Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats will be the first of many new food offerings in Pixar Pier that include Lamplight Lounge, Poultry Palace, Señor Buzz Churros, and Angry Dogs.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort Set to Unveil Massive LEGO Star Wars MINILAND Model Display

On May 4, LEGO^® Star Wars™: The Force Awakens MINILAND Model Display will take its final landing place in the center of LEGOLAND^®Florida Resort’s outdoor LEGO display area of the theme park. Created by a team of Master Model Builders, the giant display will feature memorable moments from Episode VII of the popular Star Wars™ saga enhanced with lights, sound effects and animation. The model addition includes the 16-foot-long Star Destroyer Finalizer, made of more than 350,000 LEGO bricks.
